I want to see what people think, though I'm mainly looking for answers from other Christians to see what they think on this issue. Please do not argue "is God real?" What is your guys's standpoint on the Bible saying that you can't be homosexual? I'm trying to figure out what the wording means and am trying to dig up the oldest versions of the bible to figure it out, from their text. I do not, however believe that "God hates Homosexuals" for he statues that you must repent sin through Jesus and you are given a place in heaven despite any past deeds, and, frankly i dont really see whats wrong with bieng homosexual at the extreme ness of calling it a sin.
You should also remember that laws have changed, where it says in Leviticus that "you shall be stoned" it also says that you are forbidden to have haircuts, tattoos, eat mean from animals without split ties and that re-chews its food, note that these are all Jewish laws, in later books in the New Testament, these laws have been "overturned" so to speak.

Though, it says "he who [is homosexual] shall be stoned" and same-sex marriage and recreational merijuana (no idea how to spell that) was legalized at similar times...

This is where I stand as a baptised and confirmed Christian on the homosexual and the bible topic. If this is morally possible then this is what I am. I am my own type of Christian, I search for the true meanings of each topic unsure of where I stand, If I come across a topic in the bible then I research it (yes this is part of what I do with my spare time ). So here it is, thank you liv for allowing me to conclude my belief's on this prospect.

Opinion-Controversial topic of homosexuality and the bible: Obviously the bible isn't written by just one person or by a more important factor, it IS NOT created by God. So, each and every one of us was created in the eyes of God. So if the bible is written from Christianity perspective then why would God create someone to be homosexual and then disapprove of this?

In my type of Christianity (of which I am the only member) Each person that has added an entry to the bible, has converted their opinions into a manipulation of other readers. This may sound very disrespectful but it is the key principle in my personal religion-The bible is a collection of manipulated data on what one person wants others to believe

That is very true, the only part of the bible written by god was the 10 commandments (at least that i can think of right now) that is why i am researching the oldest version i can find. Furthermore, the 10 commandments was the 'law' god gave us, and nowhere on there it says that homosexuality is to be frowned upon. I have also asked myself, why god would disapprove of his creations.

The story might be different for Catholics. But what ive read says that Moses went to the mountain where god asked him to bring 2 flat stones, God then wrote the commandments on them.
