Okay, you can call me a geek or whatever but ever since I was a kid I was hooked to Harry Potter films.

I always thought I would get a letter from Hogwarts so I could learn magic, play quiddich and kill huge snakes. I thought magic was real. Then I grew up.

Anyone else here who was addicted to Harry Potter as a child and was waiting for their Hogwarts letter

Yep... I was utterly convinced that I was off to Hogwarts.. But the dream never came true.

This thread came to mind after watching all 7 movies during a Harry Potter marathon on TV last weekend. Watched the Deathly Hallows for the first time and felt bad for Snape, he was made out to be a villian but was pure in the heart.

Never ceases to amaze me how movies can inspire others.

I love Harry potter! i read all book multiple times. as a messed up prank when I was younger my parents put a letter in the mail and made me go get it one day and it was a letter from hogwarts with a fake ticket I was so excited until they told me it was fake and I was never going to be a wizard.. messed up my childhood

Seriously, has noone read Hogwarts, a History? It clearly says that no electronic devices are allowed in Hogwarts as it interferes with the magic.
