Private Messages sitting in Outbox, help

Hi all, I have private messaged and replied to a couple of messages I've received and they are sitting in my Outbox. Any idea why this is happening?

Outbox means your mail has yet to be read by the recipient.
When it has, it will move to the "Sent Items" folder and can no longer be edited.
