I wish spears had the same speed as bows, especially in lieu of a lack of useable skills. Bows get faster speed, plus you can actually use all of your ranger skills; if you use a spear like me your basically limited to rapid shot as far as dps skills go. I am hoping that in some future patch that we can use steady, sharp, and barbed with our spears. Spears are not for everybody, but I really enjoy playing the game like an actual Celt by using my spear.

Ranger supposed dps skills suck other than steady aim anyways. Spear will never equal bow with dps I still do not understand why anyone would use spear and not knucks if you want to fight toe to toe as ranger, please give me a good reason.

I currently have gear that will add 750 spear skill so please give me a reason to use it

I gave knucks an honest try and i just didnt find them appealing. Its like going to a fight with a BB gun. You get frequent tiny hits but not amounting to much damage. I am not a fan of knucks. However I absolutely love the spear. I love hitting hard and playing my celtic heroes ranger in much the same way the actual real life celtic hunters did- with a spear. If only we had more usable skills. I think alot more folks would go the spear route if we had the skills to back it up.
