Equipment for pure str build?

#1
I have a lv 57 ranger and currently have about 85 str 85 dex 45 focus and the rest in vitality. From now on I will be pumping my str all the way and adding some vit when I feel it's needed. I know that there a weapons that add dex etc. Can someone tell me what they are and is it good for a dps ranger? Cause I don't want to keep missing so much. :)

I have to agree with Eliminator, for a long time I used a strength build but it is so limited. I switched to dex and my heals went up dramatically, as did my defence, my attack, and my damage output didnt really change all that much. I found that going strength really gimps you as a ranger.

I have tried many different resets of the stats for the ranger class.
Now that I have reached level 100, I thought I would share some of what I have learned. Other may see this as repeated info but for new players such as myself, you may find this interesting.

First off I tried a ranger with balanced stats keeping strength and dexterity about equal. I found the ranger was effective but could not delivery enough damage over a short time (damage per second or DPS as referred to here) so he tended to top out at around level 50.

Next i tried the obvious 'max out the dex' style build where in I found right away the higher the dexterity the better the ranger performed. I played a little with some of the other stats but found that equipment bonuses were a better way to make him more survivable.

I do tend to buy a lot of plat, so my guys are well equipped when they go on a leveling run (as I like to call them) and I do use elix and pots a lot ... But what I mention here is without any 'roids pumping the ranger's stats et al.

Here is where my top ranger character who is at level 100, and if you have ever fought with me, you have seen how tough this guy is. He can solo against level 110s and has killed 6 star 100 eyes in Otherworld.

Thats an interesting build. I will say as a lvl 136 ranger I have found the balanced build the best. Up until you get 300 dex. Yes more dex makes your defense, attack and skills better but I found after 300 dex the amount of increase was limited. Seems like most I've talked to they like the max 300 dex and the rest into str. (i have 50 in focus and 200 in hp)
