Re: Visible quiver!

i think it should be the arrow tips that glow/sparkle/flame/whatever. not the quiver. think about that. you wanna strap a burning quiver to your back? or have magic arrows that start burning when they leave your bow? I'm generally against strapping burning anything anywhere. but thats personal preference.
Haha, Cracking me up nighthawk. I'm with ya on not strapping anything burning anywhere.

This would be cool. Except
If they add the motion of pulling the arrow out at loading then shooting...what would attack speed look like? (Food for thought)
*chews on food for thought... swallows... digests... poops.*
Ok... so the attack speed is already not quite right. If you pay attention, as you get farther into a fight, you shoot, and several seconds later the damage number goes up. so obviously the animation and the attack speed are off. I agree that if the toon pulled an arrow out, it would make the animation last a lot longer. But the animations really dont need to match the actuall attack speed. it would be nice, but not necessary. But if you really wanted them to match, you could probably speed up the whole animation. Think about it- these guys are fighting for their lives: they arent gonna be sliiiiding an arrow out, nock it on the string, make sure its on right, pull back, aim REEEEEAAAALLLY carefully, and then shoot. They're gonna whip an arrow out, nock it, pull back as fast as possible, point it in the general direction of your enemies' head, and release. The whole animation should never take more than 2 seconds. If I can figure out how to post a video, I will film myself drawing an arrow, nocking, pulling back, aiming and releasing as fast as i can, just to prove that it is physically possible.
