If you have a bad weapon then those stats are good. If you have a good weapon then change those stats to :

str - 300
dex - 5
foc - 10
vit - the rest

This will give you the best damage, and with a good weapon you can out damage sharp shot. A good weapon is ancient war bow at your level, then quartz bow at lvl 60 and diamond bow at lvl 80. once you get 150 - 180 vit then start putting the rest into dex. Max bolas, light heal, steady aim, and conceal ( at higher level ) , and put 10 points in rapid shot ( 10 points lets you bolas and then it runs out right when the mob gets to you. I can kill 1 star mobs before they touch me, 3 star mobs take 2 rapid shots )

But like I said alrdy, if you have a bad weapon then do for a all dex build so your sharp shot and light heals do more, which you will need to get through a fight. Oh yeah the build i described could not be possible if you don't have a lot of mana sils or a regen item. I have a +15 regen and i have plenty of mana and never run out.

Ranger with 5 dex ? That is not "best" damage stats

With my ice quiver and bow i have 120 Dex, which i miss about once every 10 shots. Even when I was under level 50 and i had the ancient war bow and my Dex was very low i still didnt miss much, but i hit very hard. At low levels you can bolas and kill the mob before they hit you much. The main reason ranger use a Dex build is because they rely on skills to do their damage. Max steady aim and make sure your bow ability is max and its easy killing

I prefer a dex build, really helps me when soloing

What's your damage say on stats page, and also when you train on trees or horses what is your damage range? Just curious. Thanks

My damage is 558 with steady and my attack is a little over 2k, but I use a royal talon bracelet +8 pierce and a greater impact +4 crush

Oh and I train on the green trees

I'm reading through this thread (which was at the top of the Ranger forum) thinking "What's wrong with all these people? Why so much Str and next to no Dex?"

Then I saw a post by my buddy who quit the game long ago... sure enough, I look at the date and see this is a thread from Update 2. Why do people bring this crap back? The OP is October, 2011 fer crissakes.

Talking about stats is fine. No problem with that... but make a new thread.

After u hit a highr lvl having no/low dex and/or strength, and high focus, u will run into problems... Keep it at 10 focus if u have lux and sigls. (Im a lvl 120 ranger on herne)
