OTM metioned in the giant ranger thread under General Discussion that they were working on the class balance issues.

The patch shortly thereafter didn't do much for rangers. It would be nice to hear something from OTM either way of they are still looking into this.

"We feel rangers are adequate now" or "we are still researching this issue" would be welcome.

Please tell us something.
The only thing the patch did was restore rapid shot's speed back to how it was in update 3. So we have been nothing but nerfed in every department. Admins please comment or post your opinion on this matter.

Yes I am highly displeased by what OTM did to rangers in this update. I used to have constant dps. now, they nerfed rapids cd so bad that I found I had to get the new dmg skills ASAP to make up for what rapid cant do anymore. reset rapid to what it was in update 3, near the end. it had the right cd, decent cast time ( I prefer insta rapid cast but not if its that or cd gets shorter). Take away the longshot range thingy, its frustrating that I have to be just far enough away or one of my best dps skills doesnt work. On bosses that are ranged, thats fine. but on bosses and mobs that go h2h, I get 1 longshot in and then I go back to double shot and ss, with the occassional rapid that I dont even want to use anymore except on rare mobs and bosses... just give me back my cd plz.When update first came out you killed my dps by about 50% bc of rapid cd. the new patch fixed it by about half by my reckoning. I still have a dent in my dps. Its so embarrassing when I get beaten by a warrior who is 10 levels lower than me on dps... One that last update never got one kill if I was focused on the mob he was focused on. I am glad you fixed warrior (to OTM), but frustrated that you have killed the dps of my favorite char and class. Luckily I managed to out dps a mage yesterday on falg, but he still got the kill, meaning I only caused enough dmg fast enough (with help ofc) to get target lock before he did. I also want to know whats up with the new quivers not giving health and energy bonuses when they did before. My skills damage isnt much improved in ss, and steady aim got nerfed a bit. This is a problem that needs to be fixed now, not in 12-18 months. sure, I can kinda solo boss, and I can still tank everything my level mob wise, but it doesnt cut it when I am taking aggro like crazy (every boss hits me at least once in every boss fight I have been in this update- even when there is a level 156 tank trying to hold aggro) that I never get the kills. Damage increase is nice, but fix rapid and then play with increasing dmg later.

Light heal is okay but costs quite a bit of energy- maybe increase the heal or bring down the energy cost please. Also get rid of the nerfing light heal in pvp. if you nerf light heal you better nerf every other skill, especially warriors dps skills. When I pvp I prefer to kill tanks, but I dont think I can do that any more unless this gets fixed. Also I second cutting down on the interruptability of light heal.

Dont mess with a good thing. Rangers were fine, some said perfect. Otm had the skills decent and everything was going well. Now we can consider ourselves priviledged if we get 1 kill from any othr class in a group???? Please fix this.
