Help a new ranger :)

#1
Hello all!
Firstly thanks for even looking at this.
Im a new ranger to Celtic Heroes and have never played the game before.
I have a few questions which i'd like some help with.
1) What is the best ranger gear in the game? (I dont want to spend 700K on lux items right now when there are others when im level 100+)
2) Im level 32 and cant find anywhere to train decently! Any ideas :)?
3) I have 'Lesser Solstice Greaves' which everyone seems to keep asking will i sell them, are these good/should i get the full set?

Also have many chests, books, elixers etc for sale :)

Thanks again!

J'.

Shalemont or Fingel's Caves will be best leveling for you at 32. Fingel's has creatures level 39+ which with the right gear should be fairly easy and great XP. Same in Shalemont if you fight stuff 2-5 levels above you. Try not to fight the 3 star or more mobs since they're quite a bit harder...

Lux and items to get which will help with leveling/less down time:

Heroic Gloves of Haste
Heroic Ammy of Rejuv (energy/health regen)
Speed Boots (nice to have but not a necessity)
Ancient Armor (for when enemies get close)
Ancient Warbow/Composite bow (seeing as how you bought plat I assume, should have gold for it)

Once you're level 50 get a Golden Quiver of some sort (both regens, dex, dmg)

That setup should get you to level 60 rather easily. Then get a Quartz Bow from a player, the ones that are no longer bought from a vendor. ALWAYS try to buy your gear from another player as it'll be 35-50% cheaper than from a vendor.

Lastly, read what guides/posts there are about various builds... learn what works for others and what your playstyle is. Bolas and light heal will be your bread n' butter.

Best ranger gear in game you wont be getting till later in levels so don't worry about it too much... Frozen/Drag/Bone armor.

I'm not a high level ranger... I've just read a lot on the various threads regarding leveling/gear etc =)

Glad I could help...

Also, shop around for the best deals. Don't buy the first thing you see from the first person selling. Patience will save you a lot.

For example: I just bought a Golden Quiver of Ice for 150k. Another high level ranger said he'd sell me his for 180k...so patience saved me 30k =)

A good place to look for "old" used lux items is going to Carrowmore and shouting there. That's where a lot of high levels are leveling up and are the ones who are typically selling their old gear for new stuff. Got a set of Hero Gloves there for 85k too...

the 3* mobs are easy as heck with just a ancient shortbow in figils cave as a level 36 ranger, i auto attack em and heal them on the way

Solstice armour is definetley good on a ranger, because i used to have some and it helped for damage, but i would also suggest on getting some bracelets of the talon which will help on your damage. :)

Any physical attack damadge bracelets does the trick though.

Soltice is a bad investment when you get level 100 to 120 about because you prefer armor over dps. And it starts looseing its effectiveness. I have full soltice greater and it starts degrading for my alt around 70 level.
