I only use doubleshot because I only have one damage skill which is longshot. As a result, I use double to help increase my damage more.

I am now lvl 100 and I have updated my stats, skills, and some of my gear.

I am now running on:

Str:85(100)
Dex:210(363)
Foc:5(35)
Vit:200(230)

My skills are:

LS: (32/25)
LH: (25/25)
DS: (21/25)
Bolas: (21/25)
Steady: (7/25)

My Gear:

Lunar Hood
Greythorn Cuirass
Lunar Pants
Heroic gloves/Lunar gloves
Heroic boots/Lunar boots
4 Winds Bow (Planning on getting diamond or meteoric)
Fiery Quiver of Beasts

Jewelry:
No necklace (Planning on gettin Talisman of Earth)
Royal Wrymscale Bracelet: (+15 for Str, Foc, Vit)
Royal Wrymfang Bracelet: (+15 for Dex, Foc, Vit)
Energy Regen Ring (5 Tick)
Health Regen Ring (5 Tick)
+4 Longshot Ring

(I am planning to get a haste ring and ring of spirits and life.)

I think your ranger is looking good. I have a few comments/suggestions to add:

Skills:
If Double Shot is working well for you, stick with it. Ultimately, the overall build of your ranger should match your game play. I suggest that you put points into Steady Aim as you level (I am a bit biased since I have steady at 50). Steady provides a nice buff to attack and damage.

Gear:
Since you are only 5 levels away from the Meteoric Bow, I recommend skipping the diamond bow and holding out for Meteoric. This is up to you of course (I am a bit of a cheapskate). If you prefer to buy a diamond bow there is nothing wrong with that.

Talisman of Earth—Very good idea
Haste Ring—Very good idea (especially when you complete your meteoric armor).
Ring of Life, Ring of Spirits – You may find that your talisman and quiver provide enough regen. Keep in mind that you only have 4 ring slots and you will have the opportunity to earn very nice rings as you level. But, if you prefer the additional regen, go for it.

We all have opinions about ranger builds that are shaped by our unique experience and playing style. Some will state those biased opinions with conviction as if it is the Gospel truth. Use your judgment and play your ranger the way you like. I have tried a variety of builds with my ranger and they all worked in their own way.

Good luck to you and have fun with your ranger.

I have changed my skills because double shot is not much higher than my auto.
I have now maxed:
Bolas
Light Heal
Longshot
Steady Aim

I have gotten a ring of spirits because I've noticed my energy gets depleted very fast. One longshot for me costs 90 energy and that's about 1/4 of my energy gone.
