Hello guys proxdavid5 here,
im on world rosemerta and I'm a lvl 84 ranger ATM. I was wounderinf what my stats should go toward I mean right now I have longshot bolas light heal and rapid shop. I'm confused with rapid shot alot of people say that' it's a useless skill to have but I use it quite a lot. So I'm here to ask what skills to use?? Also what should my build be I am a dex build. But I want more Damage. But also want alot of vit. I also have quite a bit of energy? Is this bad or good i mean I see it as good so I don't run out very easy. Any advise ". I have full greythorn and a diamond bow with golden quier with 100 energy and ticks 10 per sec also golden silver rej ammy with good rings that help hient skills and 100 Heath and 100 energy rings from dragons. Any thoughts??

At your level I would recommend the following build:

If you like Bolas use:

Bolas
Sharp Shot
Longshot
Light Heal
Rapid Shot at 1

remainder in STR
300 dex (or as close as possible)
10 focus
160 vit

If you don't like to use bolas, this can be an effective build:

Light Heal
Long Shot
Sharp Shot
Barbed Shot
Rapid Shot at 1

same stats

At your level, you probably do not have Sharpen Weapons, Double Shot or Entangle. (Later on) In a build without Bolas, Entangle is wonderful for consistent killing because you take much less damage, and Sharpen weapons can add a lot of damage. Another route to go would be to get STR to 300 (or as close as possible) with same vit/foc and rest in dex. I don't think this is the most effective at lower levels due to the lower survivability. If you don't use resto pots and lix all the time, I think a dex build is more appropriate.

That was my experience around your level and it worked well for me! At 84, your goal should be to do as much damage as quickly as possible. Mobs with low HP at your level would be pirates in fingals, eyes in OW and maybe scorpions/spiders in carrowmore.

I would recommend stick with dex build. If you want higher damage then do this:

Drop bolas and use these skills"

Sharpshot
Doubleshot
Light Heal
Sharpen Weapon
Steady Aim

Do not max doubleshot, only to level you need it.

Stats:
Str: 100
Dex: Rest
Foc:None
Vit:Double your lvl

This should give you decent damage and make your survivability higher.

Its proven to be quite effective for those who use it all the way through and pretty much essential for the lower levels.

Yes, like Napol said, its effective for lower levels. Once you hit froz mete, there's really no need for that much vit.
