I was thinking of instead of having this skill cast on all group members, why not make it a solo skill and buff the damage by maybe double?
Rangers need more good soloing skills and i think this would help greatly, it could be a rangers version of rogues riposte.

Make it a solo skill, 2 min duration, with damage comparable to mage's fire cloak but (obviously) pierce dmg, so its a lil more resisted but perhaps give it in general higher damage than cloak of fire (on stats page, due to resists it would even out in game).
Bam problem solved. Now, OTM, why haven't you implemented this yet? Hell I would use this skill even if you didn't change anything but the dang damage. I used to use this skill in v3, it still sucked but at the level and dex I was at it was pretty cool. Would love to put this bad boy back in my arsenal, but it needs a serious boost. You know the problem OTM, now please fix it.

#5What they need to do for the next gear set is lower your armor compared to rogues (considering you don't get AOEd) and have raw damage bonuses on each pierce of gear, like beast bone gear but jacked up.

#7Nope. We rangers solo too. And dont start off about bolas. If we use it, our energy gets drained fast and we sacrifice a really needed dmg skill. #8Lowering our armor would be the stupidest thing for OTM to do. We have NO SKILLS that allow us to lose armor. Mages may have paper armor but at least they do have e shield. Not that they couldn't use an armor buff mind.
Druids, though they also have paper armor have bark. Using that skill they can have the second best armor in game, right behind war who obviously have the best.
Bolas is garbage for always trying to keep mobs off, it never works. Root at least is a far better idea, but only druids have that skill (not that they shouldn't, just stating a fact). I have suggested that bolas should deal some dmg and also completely stop a mob/boss. Irl bolas can kill or at the very least maim you. A soldier with broken bones will be too preoccupied about his bones to attack you.

Like I said, with what I have already written it would come out to around the same dmg as fire cloak without buff. You must remember that pierce is more heavily resisted than fire...That would be a bit on the op side, i think it would great if it wasn't quite that good.

Our skills are outdated, otm have all the data they can see most endgame rangers are pure dps, the loot pretty much forces us to go that route, barbed has a rediculously long animation n the tick dmg is pathetic, defensive spikes doesnt make any sense, we attack from range and the tank group is full of druids, r we suppose to cast it on the ranger group that isnt bein hit? Can maybe have some use solo training but even then the points can be better spent elsewhere, spear rangers need more dmg skills, skewer doesnt count
