Most curious about 220 plus rangers.

You mean defensive spikes? No, it's kind of a terrible skill. Not worth the points at the moment.

I used it on my ranger just as an added damage at lower levels. It was terrible for the points spent (like 2-3 dmg per point), but it was better than nothing and coupled with a Midnight Ammy, it was guaranteed damage to your opponent, however small. When I was leveling my ranger I didn't use bolas so had extra points and put them on spikes instead. Gave it up when I hit 170 and started to use bolas on tougher mobs.

I don't think any rangers at 220+ would have, especially for an end-game raiding player. You'd need to be grouped with the main tank for it to be useful at all.

good god no, even explosive arrow is better

Why would anyone use that skill?
