Is lvl 80 to early to go auto build

I'm also trying out different builds for lvling , from what I've heard auto rangers only become useful 200+ or so I'm still not sure, I've been trying out ss sharpen steady bolas double, IDK what to do in terms of stats though, I have the option of P lvling it but I am interested to try lvl it without the help of a main,

I got a ranger from 1-130 so far auto build. I got enough lux and gear to kinda op him though. Lvling is pretty easy, seems viable if you got the gear..i'm not a pro ranger though

Rangers really become useful at 190+. I wouldn't suggest an auto build until then, but use what works for you. I'm currently 190 and using Longshot, Double Shot, Sharpen, Steady, and Rapid Shot and it seems to be working very well.

It really depends on gear, availability of lixes, possible boxed toon. Assuming you started fresh, had no plat at any time, earned your way 100%, I'd say stick to a hybrid (dex/str/enough vit to live) build. Get enough regen/sigils/lixes to ensure you have enough energy so you arent running out while lixing. Then go str build. Get all the str/dmg gear you can, keep your armor quests up to date and get the best main/offhand you can. It is never too early if you have the lixes/regen/gear.

I've been str build since day one, and if you have the stuff for it I recommend it.

A good stat base is 300 str. As much vit as you feel comfortable with then the rest into dex.
