Totally agree with Krondor. Some of the things in the new update will improve the range but I don't think it will solve the problem. Another issue is the fact that you can't fire while moving. Also the damage is not always in sinc with the firing motion. It feels like you aren't aware of the damage inflicted. Hard to explain. And you guys are doing a great job. Feel like I'm being a bad guy by giving feedback haha.

My thoughts and speculations on the new abilities...

The new "small/fast" heal will be great as long as its not too small.

Considering the amount of hotkeys, I foresee the damage over time and the attack speed buff to be okay to have for maybe a rare situational fight but more or less useless, as personally speaking sharp shot and the new small/fast heal (assuming its decent) would never leave my hotbar.

I would like to see the new damaging arrows implemented the same way our standard arrows are now- once item/arrow has been obtained you have an infinite amount of them.

It has been established Ranger dps is lacking...the simplest and most logical fix in my mind is to introduce new better bows and/or increase dps on current bows (instead of having to revamp sharp shot).

I'm a ranger lv33 and i have to agree with all of you. This is my wishlist for the rangers:
- skill to hide ourselves
- better healing skills
- different arrows? I have a silver arrowhead but what does it do?
-maybe possibility to chop trees and make our own personal bow?
-three shot like legolas ;)
-possibility to climb in trees and snipe enemys from there
-....

After update I love ranger :D

The only skill I'm alittle unhappy with is barbed shot :/
For that energy cost i expect way higher 'over-time damage'...
At the moment it is (at skill lvl 5) 2-4 each time damage is dealt :S

Either u lower the energy cost alot or rais the "ticking damage" so at Lv 5 it makes 8-10 and at Lv 10 it makes 10-15 damage...

Any other suggestion or thought?

What i hate for the moment is that the only place where rangers can buy armor is in lirs castle and they are amazing expencive. I cant buy and arrows and equipment. Maybe raising the money you get isnt a bad idea.
And the fact that when youre busy doing a few quest at a time you kever have romm left in your backpack.
Maybe that a main bank where you can stash your stuff isnt a bad idea, or a place where you can put gear that you want to sell. Because now alot of people just drop stuff they dont need but can be traded for the use of other players.
And a last point is that you guys did a grezt job on improving the island but i would really enjoy an expand of the island, i dont know if this is something youre working on but i want to put some money in the game to buy my armor but i wont do it if it will take you guys another 1 to 2 years to expand the game.
For the moment i still enjoy it because i can talk to people and play togheter with them.
I just need some answers...

Yes the game area is getting expanded a lot, two new outdoor areas are in the next update, and lots more areas and dungeons coming after that.

Very excited to explore the new areas soon!
Here's what I think the Rangers need:
1) Bolas- this spell is great to have, except it doesn't have the effect it should. The enemies still move rather fast and reach u before u can get even an extra shot in. If you try to back up and attack him, you eventually run out of the enemies circle-of-keep-chasing-you. This spell needs to become a grasping roots, or make them move at a VERY slow rate.
2) Barbed Shot- this is the Rangers cloak of fire, rend, strangling vines, ect. I suppose it works well enough, but the energy drain is too much if you lvl it up a bit. And the tradeoff output of damage for the lvling isn't impressive. It needs to drain less or wound more.
3) Arrows- I know there's been a whole discussion on this. Basically make infinite quivers that you can buy or find. It's like a Rondel.
4) Light Heal- this spells proportions came out wrong. High energy drain and low health increase. being able to use in battle is nice, Just need to lower the energy cost and it will be useful. Especially if we get a more effective Bolas.
5) Lower strong bow speeds- they are killer. Especially when a warrior walks up and does 2x the damage for 500 more speed drain.

Hi thanks for the feedback.

Have you tried bolas at skill level 10 and if so is the enemy still moving too fast?

For the bow speed, do you use the rapid shot skill and do you still find the bow firing too slow?

ps also in the update the arrows will be visible, and also all the combat animations have been improved so the bow firing looks a lot nicer.
