Guess the ranger community is glad it isn't your main since you seem to believe we suck at everything else :) while it isn't straightforward dmg like rogue, ranger has many subtleties and alternate routes to building that can make it a much more interesting class capable of being versatile with many roles. All about the balance.

I could agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Even while healing I am auto attacking my opponent, which is awesome. If needed I take a few steps back to heal (if I am really running low on health).
Are you speaking of healing via rejuv or light heal? I've never noticed being able to auto while casting :P as for rejuv, most pvp duels tend to be fast enough unless both opponents have really low dmg that it doesnt factor in quite as drastically as it does at lower levels.

As for pvp, vit is important as most opponents can take out 600+ hp easily at higher levels on a skill. . .or auto hit for some. As for skills 'not being able to defeat dex', that is blatantly false as dex does not help you avoid skill hits, that would be fortitude and skill attack evasion bonuses. Most skill hitters will be able to beat people with an auto build due to burst dmg and dex evasion though, different with rogues. . .but this is ranger pvp eh?
Rejuv is always healing so ah no. Light heal. What happens is you cast it and then return to autoing. It is extremely nice to see double numbers or triple sometimes along with the shrinking health of an opponent. (Also the reason I like lux is it adds health- which I am in short supply on atm :? ) :D True on skill hits, but rangers have only 1 of them... (except barbed which kinda really sucks). And a lot more auto opportunities. Ever so slowly my abilities are building up. Although it is not entirely uncommon for me to evade an opponent's sharp shot even now. I also enjoy seeing defensive spike damage being occurred upon my opponent with his autos. ;) It can help quite a bit.

My health at the moment is 1664. It is a lot less than it should be, but its okay for now.

Sarcasm ._.
Oh what for may I ask?

Anyway to get back to the actual topic... I would like another EFFICIENT damage skill. Barbed sucks. So it doesn't count. All we got is sharp shot. Warriors have 3 different damage skills, rogues have 4. Why do we have (alright Ill count the barbed shot mainly because I counted rend... BUT... both suck) 2? And might I add only 2? I would like another thank you very much. An instant cast or something like it. Possibly an aoe, but not totally necessary (although that would be nice... hint. :) But just a regular old second damage skill.

Alyssandra brings up an excellent point that dex built rangers have an advantage over strength and other builds because we dodge auto attacks with such (awesome) ease. 8-) Would be nice to even the playing field a little... even if its only to get it through peoples heads that rangers need more vit. This is shown most of course at the lower levels, but can still make a huge difference when one evades half the autos of the other. Also might be another agro puller for us. (requiring of course more vit doncha know)

But the kidding and joking around aside, we need at least one more damage skill. An aoe skill would also be nice- especially when on mob duty or when one is tryin to concentrate on the boss and someone (including oneself) gets attacked by a few mobs. It is known that some rangers could fire multiple arrows at once to hit either the same target or a few different ones. :D

All i can say is that for pvp id keep around 1 k hp and strategy against mages with barbed shot n pure auto :)
Regarding warriors bolas and run seems to work great for me(lost max 5 fights in 60 with players around my lvl n even 10 lvls higher). If u want a mix build keep str n dex about same lvl and never drop vit under 120 points :).Hope this helps.

*chokes* Ummm you did not just say barbed shot? Whoa okay lemme back up a bit. 1k hp? :o  :o  :o Do you know how fast I can blow through 1k hp? Probably a sharp shot and a rapid, in total about 3-5 hits (skill included). Even a low level ranger can blow through that much pretty fast. Did you not see what the ah... 'queen' (no offence) wrote? I highlighted it. Depening on your armor I could prolly do that myself. That aside, ...okay what level are you because that will explain more than it wont to be honest. Anyway, moving back to barbed shot. Barbed shot is one of the most absolute worst skills you could use in pvp, mainly of course due to the cast time required for it. pure auto sounds okay but what about, ah, rapid shot? And whoa okay hold up. Mages combat strategy? O.o

Sigh. horrid idea to fight mages with only 1k health. If they are an ice mage, they will prolly one shot you, and if they are fire you might last 2-3 hits with just firebolt being used.

The main reason bolas doesn't work very well in pvp is that they only last 15 seconds instead of their usual 30 seconds, and if they actually have any decent build at all will manage to catch you and eventually deal enough hits to defeat you as you attempt to run through their skill hits, which can hit from a decent distance. This is of course not including any auto hits.

Good advice for the balanced build. But it is equal strength and dex with the rest in vit. normally 300 in each with the remainder in vit. ;)

The key for pvp is vit. It determines the win or lose. strength and dex can help swing the balance but vit is the heart of the matter.

Smh twice...ok so the person asking for a mix build is around lvl 60-80 as far as i saw hence the AROUND 1 k hp.As u go over 100 ur hp should go up imo.Btw i only offered an opinion on lower lvl mix build stop being a hater and offer solution not flame :).Regarding barbed shot you couldnt be more wrong.Never said u gotta invest points in it as a barbed shot lvl 1 should deal around 232 dmg from first hit ( the dmg over time +the auto should intrerupt mages cast of one skill or 2 at least).Anyhow all in all napol read first argue after :).
Hope this helped.
