Cuz double imho is only viable in a str build and with mine u r going to be using a mix build with the skills i chose

Yes, of course obsidian has 225 pierce. That's why I said not a bad choice for skills... however, I would suggest ya try out mete bow and see what happens.

Switch steady for bolas... are you completely nuts? 93 damage over semi protection offered by bolas? (not including the extra attack steady gives...) Trust me, not worth it. With bolas you gotta be just inside the range of detection but so far away (so that mob doesn't even cast spells-main source of boss damage) that you risk losing the boss every time you move. I personally would stick with steady. If you have a skill slot open, you can use rapid at 1, but its such a long cd that you wont be able to use it more than once every 2-3 mobs probably, and that's if your havin a hard time killing them. Also if you use rapid, use mete bow, it gives much better results in conjunction with rapid.

Shara, while it is true double shot is best in a strength build, the stats double works off of is your actual dmg, not your str. Therefore, as regenlief has so much extra dmg equipment, it is one of the best skills for him to have- especially with the obsidian bow.

I didn't see that he had so much dmg gear equipped, if so then he should use that instead of steady aim.

I still like steady though, so I would get rid of bolas.

Thanks for all the responses, however I think the biggest point most of you are missing is that obsideon bow has 225 damage. I tried restating, and invested in the following:
Longshot (2013 damage -must be an omen-)
Sharp Shot (1026 damage)
Double Shot (1890 damage -auto*2-)
Steady Aim (+92 Damage)
extras in Explosive Arrow

Also on my skill bar I have Barbed Shot. So far I can maintain a pretty constant cast rate with decently quick kills, however on 3* bosses I struggle, and can not do 4* without trouble. I am considering dropping steady for bolas... would that be recomended?

Also, I redid my build:
STR: 5
DEX; 365(500)
Focus 5(25
VIT: 175(195) -adding points here when I level-

Any thoughts? suggestions? Should I try out the met bow?

I am in a similar situation, with a 170 druid and a 119 ranger.

I have an obsidian bow and access to lots of gear, but went with dex build and use my met bow. Instead of double shot, I use sharp weapons and I cast rapid shot with one point in it. I haven't started to dual log yet, so have close to max in light heal too. I tend to use my ranger when my druid is camping bosses. I can easily kill most mobs up to 5-6 levels above me that are 1-2 stars.

I was strength for a while, as I have a winter king bow that I liked to use. I'm liking dex build more.

When casted in this order you gain a rather nice intial 1-2k dmg dealt by the longshot and the sharp, followed by an array of arrows. While I liked the obsidean bow dmg, I find that I have more versatility with the met bow. Thanks everyone for the help.

I have another druid at lvl 100 and gave him roots, so will sometimes lvl them together, letting this druid root the mob, and then letting my ranger kill it. Fun.

Otherwise, my ranger can usually kill 1-2 star mobs quickly enough that I don't need bolas (or my druid). Lets me put more points in explosive arrow. With a 3 star mob, I have to use light heal a few times, and an occasional resto.

kick bloodlust helm, to make it outdps elemental dmg helms, u will need tons of str, not to mention physical dmg is highly resisted

and as ppl said, obsidian bow wont last forever, yet if u want skills

no light heal due ur druid

now this is a bit hard, sharp shot wouldnt top obsidian's bow melee dmg at ur current lvl, no sharpen or steady since u dont want melee, no light heal cuz u got druid, no rapid cuz u dont want melee, no need for entangle cuz u got druid, no need for bolas really except for using longshot cuz u got druid

in other words, if u dont change to a normal bow, u wont have very good skills setup, YOU CANT DO NO MELEE BUILD AS A MELEE CLASS
not to mention ur overall dps will be lame

i suggest the diamond/opal/met bow, with doubleshot, lognshot, sharp, sharpen/steady, rest in the steady/sharpen (depends on what u maxed)
