Re: Quit playing as a ranger while you still can

If the evasions and fluctuations aren't fixed and the druid receives another support skill then they haven't done anything to help druids or casters.

I agree on barbed and sharp being str based. Idc about longshot as double shot for me does more dmg than long.
Well u guys got a minor energy reduction.-. Better than nothing._…

We already had it bad with our lack of proper strength skills. Now it is doubly bad since the other classes have gotten even better. Druids/mages insta cast lightning strike (a common dps skill used by Druid) insta cast firebolt (arguable since not all mages are fire based I guess) and less energy consumption for both! According to my Druid friend his "strangling vines" costs 400 less energy now!! Also in my opinion I thought that rouges and warriors were well off before the update anyways. A warrior can tank (THE only class that can tank effectively. Rouges already had their quick dps and had a huge advantage in locking mobs. I'm sure the reduction in skill fluctuation will help both warriors and rouges. It will not help us endgame rangers ,however, because we don't have any good skills to use in the first place. As a ranger our autos come from our autos right ? Well isn't it odd that a rouge can have the exact same auto as us using a mord spear and still keep awesome skills like quick strike ss and riposte? A warrior can have just as good autos as well all they need is a decent mord spear and some good strength gear

Solution:
Make longshot and sharpshot both strength based AND make sharpshot true insta cast (the animation takes like 3 seconds) I can get like 2-3 autos in, in that time.

^ so what? Fluctuation and evasion boosts benefit everyone proportionally. Therefore making the most op class more op, and the least op class comparatively worse, essentially acting as a nerf
This isn't a nerf at all like you're saying. Ok so it makes warriors and rogues better. Please explain how it nerfs rangers. Don't compare it to other classes. If damage fluctuations are fixed this makes the rsnger better

Meh. Saves me an energy lix here and there on my druid. Doesn't help jack with leveling. My ranger can lvl in half the lix my druid can.

At least we didn't get nerfed. I have played a ranger for 3 years and the last time OTM payed any attention to rangers was to nerf us. Sadly, I am just happy we didn't get nerfed. It is pretty clear that OTM couldn't care less about rangers so I have given up on offering solutions to fix the class. Being ignored is about the best we can hope for at this point.

PS. On the bright side, I am not motivated to buy plat anymore. $1060.00 USD over 3 years was plenty of financial support for OTM in my opinion. We can just ignore each other from this point forward and I will save money.

Longshot- Shorten Cast time and distance you need to be from Target. just cause its a long shot does not mean you have to be a mile away. You should be able to cast as long as you are not locked within melee distance. Any seperation would allow you to cast it. and if you sped up the cast time, you could unlock from melee distance flee to a safe distance and start casting. flee to a safe distance means seperation, not 30 yards away like it is currently.

Sharp shot- boost damage and hit more often. Make it a true insta cast by removing animation.

Double shot- Make it an insta cast like sharp shot. No animation needed. The cooldown is already less, its unavoidable, but is going to do less damage than a ranger using sharpshot with a dex build.

Barbed shot- I think this could potentially be a awesome skill for rangers. maybe not one to max but hey all opinion. Also Slightly shorten time it takes to cast. Make it so it hits slightly harder than an auto attack and the damage done overtime increased.

Auto Attack- The main things that seem to effect auto attack is your weapon and bow ability. I don't see too much of a difference in my auto by adding keeping my base str at 5 or adding 100 points to it. Shouldn't strength on rangers have a little more credit like it deserves.
