AFAIK, it's never been proven that Dex did anything for Bolas, tho I understand some rangers believe it lets Bolas stick better. I practically doubled my Dex when I upgraded to Golden Ice (100-175) and I still miss as much lol.

I have 25 in Light heal, and with 175 Dex it heals for 354ish. Her 840 DEX @ 25 heals 584. That's 665 Dex giving 230 more pts...


But yes, Dex does help with Def (1:2 ratio), which is the 2nd reason why I even raise it beyond 10 lol.

Maybe; for Light Heal tho, I'll try to get back to you tonight. I don't think my Heal went up more than 25 pts when I equipped my ice quiver, so it may not be a plateau but a straight conversion of around 3Dex:1pt. Most of our skills (not only rangers) seems to depend a LOT more on the skill level than any corresponding Stat it's based on (e.g. going from 25 light heal to 26 will do more for me than adding 5 more Dex)

EDIT: Removing my Ice quiver, 25 Light Heal does 302. With Ice +75 Dex, it's 344 so 75 dex = 42 heals. Not bad compared to 650ish for 250s heal lol

Just to get back on topic (sorry!), what Fletch and I differ on is basically whether to put more pts in DEX, or VIT. But we both agree you want around 300 STR

And to be perfectly honest, I'd probably vote for Fletch's post more than my own. Vit doesn't help that much if you're in a group (well... unless you're the tank... then that's a Whole New Thread), while Dex will add more dmg over all (if only to lower your miss rate) And does help with healing yourself and others.

Raise strength first, then dex. lol

For str build: 3.1.0.1 until you get 300-400 str. then switcharoo to 0.3.0.2 for the rest of the time. Dex increases dps, so good idea to invest alot in it after your done with ya str.

Skills: Steady Aim, Rapid Shot, Bolas, Light Heal. The rest up to you. Be careful with maxing bolas and rapid, they suck up energy like no tomorrow.

Im not 100 percent sure but im almost positive that there is no plateau for dex in terms of attack and defence. In skills there might be a plateau.

Fate and Vit to Energy and Health is also static at 1:6.25 respectively (less unknown function of armor weight to Energy)

Okay, thanks! I dont realy care as much about the skills plateauing as with attack and defence doing that. such a relief. Interesting on the vit. might have to seriously think about adding another 20 pts or so after I hit lvl 111.
