So what you're saying is that it is okay to abuse a glitch that, if done without error, makes you invinsible?

Just to throw something different out to this glitch convo. . .let's take goretusk full, has no ranged attacks, is it fair that I monopolize on this and solo him using the normal bolas method, being practictally invincible unless it misses? Or is this taking advantage of a current game mechanism? Because as far as admin response has been, they have not acknowledged this as a glitch, just something rangers are able to take advantage of because the current game mechanism does not allow bosses to cast skills from a certain range. While the move may be cheap gameplay, and certainly different from the usual tank and druid setup, is it truly abuse? Food for thought

Tough question. I find it rather hard to compare bolasing a boss that has no ranged attacks and using something that clearly is a glitch in the game. To answer your question, I don't see anything wrong with using bolas to kill monsters that are designed specifically not to use range attacks. If someone says that this isn't fair, then they would also have to agree that it isn't fair that you are able to kill any mob that doesn't cast while using bolas.

Admin shouldn't have to acknowledge something as a glitch for people to know whether or not to abuse it. I mean, the way that long-range skills are disigned is to hit people who are X distance away. Well, while standing in this circle it makes the boss think that you are "out of range" from it. It's safe to say that this is a glitch, and we shouldn't need admin confirmation to make choices that are, in my opinion, cheating. If I found a glitch that gave me unlimited gold, but it has not specifically been acknowledged as a glitch by an Admin, does that mean that I'm not cheating?

Which is why it would be considered, as I said, cheap gameplay. Just playing devil's advocate here. Even with the green circle method, bosses are still able to cast on themselves. . fire cloak/healing skills, making it not as easy as it seems and add bolas avoids on top of that and you have a sticky situation. Not to mention, if the boss aggros you before you are able to get bolas on, then it will still auto attack. It becomes an art form of the right distance with conceal, teamwork between multiple rangers or a ranger and its group. If you have a perfect runthrough, you can seem 'invincible' but most times this isn't the case, and often it takes more effort and time than getting a tank and druid.

Should people take advantage of it? That's their prerogative. Just because someone can do something, doesn't mean they always should. But bolas, and the existence of this has put things into a grey area.

Even comparing bolas fighting and glitching is nonsense . Saying how skilled you must be to use this glitch is nonsense as well , who cares how good people are at cheating or how hard it might be to cheat .

Then make a petition to otm to remove the distance bosses need to cast? Easiest fix it seems. If otm deals with it directly, and it isn't a part of their design, then it's obvious they view it as cheating. . .just as they would if someone found a glitch for unlimited gold.

Ha Ha I like it when someone mention,"Bolas glitch without fail". Do not be a fool that NEVER happens. Bull Crap that it makes you invincible, no it doesn't idiots. If you try to solo it on your own, once he avoids you're screwed. He backs up and casts spells and once you bolas again he still doing normal attacks on you anyways unless someone else catches his aggro. Even with two rangers they miss at the same time. But if one ranger dies the other works with glitch until the other ranger runs back or idols then they can. But you cannot "solo" bosses. Also, once you die while doing it on your own it is over.

We don't need a petition , each and every one of us knows it's cheating we hardly need admin to confirm that for us .

IMO the "idiots" are the people using the GLITCH not the people commenting on it .
