I wish I had seen this nugget of wisdom around lvl 45'ish before I spent loads of money on highroad armor / ancient leather / ancient lamellar.

I look back now at the money I spent on those armors and I could have bought full warden discs (except drags) and a golden rejuv quiver and I would be well on my way to heroic ammy.

But I am great clan now and they are helping me overcome my shortcomings! LOL

I don't think steady aim is that useful to me. But this is before the update so we don't hav more hot bar spaces. I put my points into bandage, light, sharp, barbed,bolas, rapid and then steady aim. So.......

I may just be an oddball but I have all the same things as you(minus weapon and charm) but I like more hp. I don't use pots so I find it easier to lvl with more hp at a higher lvl. And because rangers are naturally good dos I still kill things fast. For example I'm able to solo dreadclouds elders lances boahbons(bobos) and most every stand in for metoric bosses 3 stars or less. This is just my input. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Well vold I'm epic resurrecting(i think lol)
ok ibooz and others im a lvl 112 ranger atm and rapid shot and barbed shot are pretty useless to put points into em. rapid then takes more energy and barbed will take ur energy even with some regens. here i list my stats and skills i use:
Stats
str-203(208 with bracelet)
dex-170(255 with quiver and a bracelet)
focus-10(15 with bracelet)
vit-202

Skills i use
Light heal-29/25(i have a grand ring)
Sharp shot-25/25
Steady aim-25/25
Bolas-29/25(another grand ring)
then i have 1 into barbed/rapid and everything else
now i list equipment
helm-golden helm of severenity
bp-lunar or lesser earhtstone
greaves-lunar
gloves/boots-heroic
ammy-lessser earhstone

The guide was for Update 2. The effect of stats was greatly changed with update 3. The OP says he would not waste points in dex... I doubt he would say the same today. There was also the x/15 skill cap back then, and far fewer skills

The necroposting of this might make new Rangers think that this is a valid way to build... but that is suspect.
