Str ranger is the more expensive build.

Impossible to give sound advice without knowing your gear and plat expenditure...

Most people at that level aren't platting yet, and don't have a lot of gear... Soooo

What you'll be best to do is a high Dex build. Not 100% of stats but itd be something like 25% Str and VIT and 50% dex. Longshot, sharpshot, light heal work really well... You'll have high defencE and ability to heal yourself between mobs. You can use bolas if you like, don't waste my ring slots on sharpen weaps it doesn't add a lot until high level... You can use double aswell or instead of other skills but it's not thaaat good yet. I don't recommend points in steady as its so slow to cast. I'd put spare points in sharpen or rapid shot.

My advice is determined on 3 questions

The 3 questions are

• What lvl they are
  How good their access to bosses are
  How rich they are

From those questions it determines my answer.

most of them are:

They are lvl 80-100, in well bossing clan without much cash (under 100k).

I tell them
The most important thing is to not spend your cash on fashion
build

• dex build (1.2.0.2 or 1.2.1.1 and maybe occasionally add some focus in there if u need )

Skills

• The skills to use are, Bolas
  Long Shot
  Sharpshot
  Sharpen Weapons
  the rest of the spare points to choose if they want to attack quicker with Rapid Shot or be able to transition between kills and heal to full health use Light heal.

Gear

• Warden bow and armour or meteoric armour (try and get from bossing)
  Golden reguv ammy

Thats the base items all others they choose, they find what misc, rings and bracelets.

Lvl 100-120, in a good clan with 200k (in cash and or items)

I tell these players to
Stay the same they are and save up a bit more cash that the most important thing for them is a lvl 100 req quiver (even if they need to sell their ammy).

• dex build (1.2.0.1 add focus when needed)

Skills

• Longshot
  Bolas
  Steady aim
  Sharpen weapons
  Spare points in rapid shot

Gear

• lvl 100 req quiver (most important item)
  Meteoric armour and bow
  Kron set
  longshot and sharpen weapons rings

Lvl 120-150, in a good bossing clan with 300k (items or money)

I recommend them
Boss aggy as much as you can (try get aggy bracelets and rings)
Build

• Strength build (2.1.0.2)

Skills

• Bolas
  Double Shot
  Sharpen weapons
  Steady aim
  spare points in rapidshot

Gear

• Aggy Bracelets
  Aggy damage rings
  100 req quiver
  Kron or Commrak set
  Frozen armour and bow

By now you should be able to judge your own builds and know what gear you need. At 150+ mainly focus on your required dl pieces.
This is mainly for Main accounts but for alts its roughly the same you will just be able to buy more Lux (midnight talisman, haste ring)

For rogues the new sun one best but not for ranger tho, one reason we rely on melle dmg, and dont have the skills to spam like rogues. if u want the best for a ranger stargem is the way to go

Isnt wyld's skill melee range? And yet, dont just say 'nope', each one can suit either of u differently, not to mention hes a more experienced ranger than u.

Midnight gives more constant damage while wyld gives a certain amount of damage each (45?) Secs. Midnight beats wyld for rangers. However im not sure about stargem as ive yet to experience a stargem set.

The wyld ammy is better than the stargem ammy if only you find yourself too close to mobs and don't find yourself using bolas, which should be the case in most situations if you want the best EXP, bolasing mobs is time consuming.

The stargem is better than wyld for endgame bossing though.
