If knucks were so good i think most or all rangers on all servers would be using them, also ive never seen a dl knuckleblade, kinda want one tho

im too lazy to do math rite now but like said in above post if knux are so good dps then y dont ppl use them? its simple bow is better ._. but meh i wont argue its ur choice really....in a contest i feel bow ranger will beat knux to lock any day (same lvl same gear except diff wep:bow n knux)

I know its a strange concept a ranger doing better dmg with a weapon that isn't their main. Rangers play a ranger for bola light heal and ranged attacks. Reason why no one does it is bcuz a rogue does close combat better... Bola becomes useless light heal i guess is still useful but u only really use 1 attack as a knuckle where a rogue can use all of their own meaning they do by far more dmg. And your too lazy to do math bcuz theres none left to be done i did it already. Until you get a dl bow theres no way u can out dps a knuckle ranger in shear dmg. A knuckle will have 84 hits and wyrm bow will have 46 this alone should alarm you in some way.

I personally dont use a knuckle build even though it is better but i also play my ranger for different reasons and concepts. The issues I'm pointing out is how imbalanced this game has become. A ranger not using a bow does more dmg?! Like wtf? A game played off 90% auto dmg with lack of build options and skill selections. Every class uses the same 5 skills with 1 or 2 differences at most. You need 4 different lixes to lvl and about 10 per lvl meaning 40 lixes for a lvl imagine the next 50 lvl unlocking...

i hav to agree with u on this...the classes do seem unbalanced and need to be fixed but there isnt much that the players themselves can do. and about the skills, ik many rangers would probably want to max out lightheal sharp double long bolas sharpen steady rapid and so on but we're limited to using only a few skills due to the amount of points given... balance is what this game needs because the game's mainly good and fun for people who actually lvl but not for lower lvls. also for lvls around 100ish-150 the dps is kind of bad and this is the main reason it probably takes a while to lvl for rangers due to the lack of dmg.

Yes in other RPGs your allowed to make a choice in your builds. Example for warriors have a dps build with high hp then a tank build which gives extra ac and some hp. Rangers have a dps build with an extra attack and a solo build with extra regen. Rogues had a dps build again and then a high defence build for evades and a single slow cd big dps skill and so on and so on. Make ppl make choices in this game and further build their character to what is in their liking.

Steady Aim doesnt work with knuckles. If you cast with bow then switch to knuckles there is no increase of atk or dmg on your original knuckle stats. The icon will still be there but the buff doesnt actually transfer.

All right guys. I think that since the first ranger in full dl ever walked on celtic land everyone knows that dl rangers are boss. You higher levels (full dl etc) obviously excel at dps (with bow etc). Most of those people asking about knuckle builds for ranger are not anywhere near level 180- aka no full dl. And to be honest even with a full dex build skill dmg isn't that great from lvl 100-150-160ish, which coincidentally, is where the large majority of the questions of knuck builds come from.

Now I cant speak for everyone but to be frank the boggans especially are packed extremely close together and longshot cant be used at close range (I am thinking we need to start a petition to fix that problem- longshot doesn't mean it cant be used against something super close, just that it has the ability to shoot farther), which negates 400+ dmg caused to mobs before I even start fighting. In this situation, im beginning to look for new solutions to leveling, as already my dps is down compared to other classes and friends, without another dmg skill gone by bys.

Long shot is the worst dps skill on bosses movement evasion skills are are the most evaded. I can land twice as many sharp shots as long shot. Atleast on mord and hrung

as I already said in my post...and all I will say because soulranger has done a great job proving the point already...why the hell would an end game boss (mordris) drop a weapon that APPARENTLY SUCKS AND NOBODY SHOULD EVER USE (knuckles). The answer is simple...because knuckles are good. Go yourself and buy a knuckle and axe. Even better borrow them from somebody. Do not reply to this topic until you have taken the stat and dmg advice I said in my first post, and used the knuckle and axe. You honestly cannot argue that a bow is better unless and until you have used knuckles. In my opinion, the ONLY area that a bow is better than knuckles is when you dont get hit by aoe. But then again, if you have the proper stat setup, that doesnt even matter.
