I would recommend from personal experience the dex build. 3 dex, 2 vit per level. The whole way. (unless of course you need to get some more focus bc of your energy) For an easy example you would have your stats look like this at level 100:So at my level should I be a dex ranger or a str, I recently got alt book and that other one lol, and could use it to switch my stats. It's just that you mentioned earlier that before lvl 70's you can pull off the str build, but is it better to have a str build or dex? Also pls recommend how my stats should look.
Another thing, as you know, I am just a month into the game, so I don't really no what the stats actually do. I mean, you guys make it sound as if str is pretty much useless yet you have some. Shouldn't it add to your damage yet take away your accuracy from lack of dex? I have like 180 str and 75 dex, and I miss way too much as I have noticed but make hits close 100 on mobs my level, with an ancient warbow.
Adding on to what I said earlier about the stats, is it possible to have a hybrid ranger, as in, str and dex on about the same level with differences of only ten? I think that this would make an awesome ranger by making it not too strong, but not too innacurate. Although from what I see, apparently dex gives damage attack and accuracy, which s pretty op, and str just adds a lot to damage, which is a waste.
I know my ideas are all over the place but its because the ideas came in as I was writing, thanks a lot though man, really helped.
Strength: 5
Dexterity:300
Focus: 10
Vitality: 200
Strength- adds damage and 1 point of attack per point of str (attack being chance to hit)
Dexterity- adds 1 attack and 2 defence per point of dex (defence being chance to dodge/block melee attacks *HINT: INCREDIBLY USEFUL ESPECIALLY AT LOWER LEVELS AND OTHERWORLD*)
Focus- Adds x amount of energy to you total (varies due to weight of armor, etc.)
Vitality- adds x amount of health (someone figured it out but I have forgotten the exact figures)
Hybrid rangers do indeed exist and have been called something like the ultimate dps build, however they are known to be lacking on health especially at lower levels, which is why most rangers wait awhile before switching (level 140+ that I know of) The reason being that they divide their stats to the strength (and perhaps dex) plateau, which is 300. So that build would look like this at level 150:
Str: 300
Dex: 300
Focus: 10
Vit: 150
That amount of vit is half what it should be, as at the minimum it should be 300.
For rangers, Dex is a main dps stat, some might say even more important than str. In addition to what dex does normally for every class, it also helps out most of our ranger skills like light heal, sharp shot, longshot, barbed shot, bolas, etc. This effect is seen best on damage skills and light heal. This is why most rangers, the higher up you go, have an ever increasing amount of dex. (that and at certain levels it can be almost impossible for mobs to hit you

No problem I try to answer questions in order.
