Topic says it all but basically I just got this ring it says it adds +75 for ranged combat but I don't see any difference in my stats so what exactly does it do?? Or is it just a pretty ring with a nice +75 on it.
I also don't see any major difference when I attack

I got a +100 version. i tried out all my skills on it - sharp shot, steady aim, barbed, heal, etc. I noticed that when using steady aim, my attack went from 1600 to 1601. woohoo - now i can solo Rockbelly - lol
It is relegated to the area of useless bound rings. If i weren't so neurotic i would just drop it.

I'm currently equipping Royal + Grand + Fabled rings of archery and it boost my range combat ability to 1700.
Quite effective when using skills.

Ranged combat is what distance? Where do u see the difference?
Bc it's between that, glas ring of sharp shot or glass ring of steady aim. Ad the steady aim one adds 5 mkre attack points and one more damage point to my stats. Seems like that is more effective and that's just a glass ring. Just trying to figure out what's best thatnks

Range combat is a ability.
How it works?
- increase your skills effectiveness such as stedy aim, barb shot, sharp shot.
- increase your chance to deal skill damage (don't miss or avoid as much).
- may increase your damage sometimes.
This ability improves how your skills works for example:
Stedy aim 30/30 - boost attacks by 200 (rough guessing)
Having max steady aim 30/30 and the rings of archery - boost my attack by 324 (124 different)
See how range ability improve your skills performance?
You may not notice as much at lower level but I can assure that it is a must have ability at its max.
Hope this help

Interesting. Im lvl 109 I only have +75 ring of it so maybe not seeing it at much. Ok will play around with it. Maybe it will do better than my glass ring of steady aim. Guess it's easier tonsee the change in stats with the steady aim over the ranged one. But very good points!

Hey there
It's main use is to increase the chance to hit with your bow attacks. There is a small damage component but the main advantage is the increased chance to hit.
Thanks!

Admin thanxs for weighing in here. I was wondering if there is some sort of math to figure out to probability of hitting and missing and what the ring really does.
I have a 1300 ranged combat ability now. Does a +75 ring really do that much to improve my chances of hiring? It's a very small upgrade? As with even my steady aim glass ring I see a +2 in damage with that difference.
Guess trying to weigh the options bc it's very hard to see the difference in hit/miss shots.
Thanxs
