#3try the most armor at start that any class can use and after that it's class based so Highroad. Quilted leather is for rangers and rogue's and is also good.
Just keep in mind when you need energy wear some low weight armor. And If you don't need energy you can wear heavier armor. Because the weight affects your max energy.

#5Actually the tanned Highroad Cuirass and Greaves are just 1 AC less than their hammered pre-update counter parts. With the attack bonus its better IMHO. I end up looking a bit bazarre but I wear my plate helm, boots, and gauntlets. and my tanned Highroad Cuirass and Greaves Looks strange but it's effective!I find that pre-update plate armor works well for me.
