Anyone who has seen a lvl 85 ranger bolas and solo a Rockbelly Disciple without taking any damage can feel my pain.

This has gone on long enough, all I ask for is a 5 second wait from when the original bolas wear off to where the next bolas can be cast.
5 seconds isn't much but it's enough to make them suffer.
***** As of now bolas last 30 second yet cool down time is 15 seconds. Giving rangers 2 chances to hit the skill before they are to take damage. Cool down needs to be 35 seconds*****

Bonus nerf:
Remove H2H and spear ability from RANGEr's
Or add it to all classes as this is a joke that a RANGEr can train in these abilities.
The point of a RNAGEr is to have RANGED combat not H2H.
This will fix the 100's of rangers getting a free speed pot buy equipping a now casting rapid fire and switching to a knuckle blade or spear.

Exactly why is a spear ranger a must?

You have to buy the skill by the arena.

Also spear works for rapid shot. If h2h works with rapid with a weapon switch, thats a bug and should be fixed rather than take away h2h

I knew I wasn't crazy...

There is only one reason for ranger to use a spear... tanking. They use to the spear because you cant equip a shield with a bow. And the only way they can really tank is have a nice bolas taunt. So no a spear ranger is not a must and really isn't necessary, I agree with Hoen.

Thats melee combat not hand to hand.

Hand to hand is or all classes. Look by the arena.

They used spears.

That is why spears are needed for rangers.
