Everyone knows every ranger needs bolas for bosses and also to take a break and heal up during a battle.

Remember its a hunter... I need a full arsenal to take down my prey

Maybe a better option would be camo, but camo is useless because if you are in battle it goes off. The only place you really need camo is to prevent adds in a fight.

So camo is dropped for bolas.

I have a similar build, but instead of bolas i use defensive spikes.

Notice this build is with a Spear

Yes defensive spikes is another option. But for the spirit of the hunter I would think really only camo or bolas would qualify since those are traditional hunter things.

Mabye the camo variant could be called Stalker and defensive spikes variant could be considered Striker.
