ok so I shoot archery A LOT. (in real life) I shoot JOAD(junior olympic archery development), which is indoor target archery(im a bronze olympian, if anyone knows what that means). I also hunt with a traditional bow- a piece of wood and a string. Anyhoo, the rangers in the game arent really very realistic in the way they shoot. They got most of it right(i was actually pretty impressed- obviously a real life archer had something to do with their movement programming), but they still need a lot of work. I dont know how to post pictures on here or i would. But in a nutshell they bend over awkwardly, their right arm is contorted all weird, and their head moves WAY to much after the shot. Anyone shooting like this wouldn't be able to hit crap. Google "Olympic Archery" and watch how the pros shoot. It's nothing like how the rangers in CH shoot.
Also, look at the bows(this actually kinda bothers me). The CH bows seem to be made of concrete, with a rubber band for a string. idk if this was done just because it was easier to program, or because the designer doesnt know how a bow works. If it is the latter: a bow flexes a lot. the string does not stretch AT ALL. you pull the string, and it pulls the two tips of the bow down toward you. When the string is released, they snap back, pulling the string forward, and launching the arrow. Again, just google a video of it- try and find a slo-mo one.
So all things considered, I dont think anybody(including admins) really cares about any of this- So i dont really expect to see them fixed. But what the heck- i felt like it should be thrown out there. So if you're still awake after reading this, thanks! if not, sleep well.
