Build question for the earthstone guys

#1
Hello, I am currently a lvl 84 ranger. The build I've been using is a ratio of 1:2:1 for str:dex:vit, and it seems like a nice balanced build. Maxed sharp and heal, 8 rapid and maxed steady aim. My issue is this: I equip es chest piece and greaves and my auto increases (which is wonderful), but my sharp shot stays the same. So basically sharp shot has become a useless skill to me, being the same dmg as auto. I am wondering what es and aggy dmg ring users have been finding as successful and unsuccessful builds with these pieces of equipment. I would prefer to not max rapid because of the long cool down. Ive considered maxing barb instead of ss. Any thoughts?

I love the combo of earthstone defense bonus and massive dex, add a Druids howling wind and I basically never get touched.

I still use sharpshot with es , not as mch as if I was using diamond though , I often use 2 Aggy dex bracers.
Just imagine a rogue's fast reflexes with earthstone, high dex, and howeling wind :geek:

Yeah but it be as effective though? The reason it works well on a ranger is because most of our moves uses dex. Then again you mostly auto, but the occasional skill can be what makes it more effective on a ranger. Not to mention that most rouges don't usually invest heavily in dex like a ranger.

I keep some dex on rogue, max fast reflex and duo birdswith Druid , honestly I barely get touched. Pretty much the only time I get hit is if I don't time the first hit properly and wind isn't on mob yet aside from fireballs of course. So yea it works quite well with rogue even with only 100 dex or something .
Yeah I know it would be able to work well a rouge, but I was just saying wouldn't it be more effective on a ranger whose moves could also benefit from all the dex.

No, because they don't provide a dex bonus.

K put decent dex -.-
It still works better because of fast reflexes. I was pointing out how great of a defense you could have with all that, not suggesting a build to actually use. Besides, autoing with dex skills on a rogue with damage gear id better than using physical damage skill.
