I currently started using my knuckle blades on my 130 ranger and I love it. I get kills on plenty of bosses over rouges my level. I also have the versatility off being close combat and and long ranged. My favorite thing to do is bolas and attack from afar and when they get close rapid shot and switch to knucks and blade and deal insane dps. Lastly, i heard it is easier for rangers to get the kill on aggragoth this way.

So how often do you use your knuckle blades?
Do you use them at all?
Is it true this help rangers get the kill on agg?

Knuckle blades are a liability. They cost a bit and don't really deliver as much damage as a bow..

I own a golden ice blade and when I tried a dia knuckle blade with it for 5 mins, I quickly saw how useless they were.

They are ok to buy if you have to much money.

I disagree with knuckleblades being a liability. The purpose of them were to increase your chances of interrupting bosses. With the right build, knuckleblades can do insane dps. I use them alot and i often get the kill from our rogues

Also, what was your h2h? If it anything lower than 500, you won't see much from knuckle blades, imo.

i only use knuks at if my bolas fail, and it comes at me, thats when i often use it, but bolas mostly succeed to me when I cast on a mob

but then again reason why i dont use it often is because i dont really know to use it or the right time

I have been using knuckleblades (with golden ice Blade) on a Str heavy build from lvl100 to lvl 120 and have built my H2h to just under 1K without the knuckleblade bonus.

I find that if I am going against Mobs a little or equal to my level they are very satisfying and they interrupt skills as mentioned.

If I use an Elixir they are almost as good as my Diamond Bow for damage over time though I use Bolas with my Bow which avoids more damage to me.So more healing Pots on Knucks.

I have found if I am fighting a solo Mob I can Bolas on knuckleblades and then move away and light heal and let sigils work then move back to fight but this slows your fight and i end up often alternating that strategy with Pots. Also there is the definite interrupt advantage. Though have to admit with Bow on fast shot there is also some skill interrupt.

However if I am fighting higher levels than myself (no elixir) then the Bow for me is superior. Not sure if that is my Dex/Str mix.

All these comments are based on a solo, str heavy build which I have tinkered with a lot.

Current buid (lots of Regen)

Bow: Str 330 / Dex 115 (205) / Foc 10 (25) / Vit 180

Knucks: Str 330 (405) / Dex 115 / Foc 10 (25) / Vit 180

Too much Str uning Knucks but can't change it each time.

Slightly off topic my Rogue uses a cruel knife after using Knucks for a while and he finds that cruel is almost as good as knucks. He gets his high Dagger ability plus can use Dagger based skills (eg Assassinate) without switching weapons.

For people with Rogue Alts and limited budget. Cruel knife from top level Dustwither (rotting flesh) mobs.

He has almost equal Str/Dex but more Str.

I use knuckles when trying to dps/farm. I dps when i kill Ragnor or kill a boss like Fal. Also I sometimes have to tank in my clan... but druids can keep me alive with 2050 health
