Does strength stat affect bow damage?

Hi, building a ranger and just wondering if putting points into the strength stat actually increases the damage done with my bow or should it all go to dexterity?

Yes str helps bow damage since it's pierce.

Okay great thanks, what do you think is a good str to dex ratio?

300:175=60:35=12:7 lol okay thanks so basically each level I guess I'm doing 2 vit, 2str, 1dex

Depends on your build choice , ask 10 rangers get 10 answers. 2-2-0-1 is my preference
