Dex in the next Update?

Sorry if this has been mentioned somewhere in the forums, but will Dex have more benefit in the ranger class? Rangers are supposed to have dex as their main stat. But as of now, I only see a few skills, such as Sharp shot and Light heal, influenced by dex. So I am asking if there will be any changes to the skills in order for dex to be more efficient to the ranger class?
I'm asking because I may be switching to dex build.
Also if you can point out to me if this is already being planned or if this is op.. Etc...

Sharpshot , barbed shot , steady aim , light heal , defensive spikes , attack and defense all use dex .

We need our main stats to be str and dex... not dex and focus

I believe bow damage will be dex based. There may be a STR min to use a bow but once you pull it back extra STR does nothing for a real bow. Having dex will mean more accuracy hitting in low armor areas.

Unless they create a new damage type I don't see how this can happen, rogues and rangers share pierce as main damage type now and it multiplies off of str , unless it's a major overhaul I'm not sure how they can work it so dex works for bow damage . Dex already makes a huge difference in damage by way of attack .

I recently switched to dex build and it works WONDERS

My stats are now 165, 350, 10, 200. My light heal went up by 100+
I also removed points from rapid shot and made it 1/25(I maxed sharp shot now); this helps me ALOT because it lets me use light heal between cooldowns.

What did you expect a dex build to do? It does just that. If you want to go toe to toe it lets you do that too. its what I do!
Good job on killing rapid and moving those pts to sharp.

If it helps, when it is time for me to heal myself i cast light heal then sharp, which cuts out most of the heal animation, allowing me to get more auto in, at least in action. I do often cast sharp while a mob is coming towards me first after I open up with an auto attack, then cast it some more. then I do the heal/ss pattern, and then I do that until the fight is over. If you are running short on energy, cut out the extra ss here and there, ull be fine.
Although I only have used a bow before, I might consider using knucks more often.

They are incredible. I would encourage other rangers who are dex based to try them.

My Rogue uses knucks which are awesome but what makes them awesome is poison weapon. I have not used knucks with my ranger because well unless you can get rapid shot to work with them, its just not worth it. It is soo much better to bolas and shoot from a distance instead of going toe to toe. IMHO the only real reason to go HTH with a ranger is if you want to share lux with your other alts to save money. A ranger with a golden sword offhand and knucks is nothing more than a rogue without poison. Entangle can help though, if it hits you survive longer and can do more damage.

Entagle?

My apologies but I personally feel that entangle is... garbage. too high of a cd. Instead, me being a dex ranger I dodge alot as it is. If something hits me more than 5 times out of ten, Im shocked. People have used rapid with knucks, it works wonders apparently. I, having heroic gloves of haste, just use my knuck that way. 3-5 hits on the mob (depending on which weapon). Once I get my h2h up I can expect more hits to land and higher dmg etc. I have 5 strength and they work just fine. rogue without poison... I have only a venom brace on my rogue, i dont use poison weap on him atm. Im going to try poison weap soon though, it sounds awesome. But at least rangers can heal mid combat unlike rogues.

And atm I dont own a golden blade. Lookin to buy one though.

Spikes makes up for lack of poison weapon , I do prefer bow for xp though , max damage on ranger is knucks though .
