Ok, so last night we killed ymir, and the 4 rangers that participated rolled for the bow, and I won (yay!). So now I have this ymir bow... if I went like FULL strength, would the ymir bow do more dps than my meteor bow + golden ice quiver?

Why wouldn't you... I thought you got DKP for him?
Anyways nighthawk its only good for setting the skill record. Use barbed shot (level 1) and try to get the best skill hit.

When I still had it, I would mess around and use it on bosses like Stonefang. I would actually do more dps than some mages around my level with it. I even used it while training on Ymir guards some to experiment, and I would still get the kill most of the time with several dps warriors, rangers, and mages in the group. It doesn't compare at all to frozen bow, and I'm sure meteoric and diamond would be slightly better, but it would beat anything below that. It's definately fun for making a new alt ranger and 1 hitting everything in your path.

Mine was stolen and I doubt I'll ever get it back, what a shame.. I'll certainly miss it.

You must level with some poorly equipped buddies .

Haha it certainly surprised me to get the kill with that slow ass bow, but I had some pretty good damage gear and most mages in the clan use lures and cloak mainly.

HAVE YOU SEEN HOW SLOW IT SHOOTS!! TAKES AN HOUR! FOR ONE SHOT. WAIT ABOUT A YEAR AND IT MAY BE WORTH SOMETHING

Ymir bow is crap bc of the speed and the inability to also equip a quiver at the same time. I dont care how powerful it is, any ranger near ur lvl should be able to kill you easily in a duel- Anyone I duel with that kinda weapon near or a little above or (ofc) below my level dies. I use diamond bow, golden ice quiver. Mainly dex build to boot.
