Perry's guide to tanking
For tanking I usually see most people using diamond spear or knuckles with royal shield of wind or mountain. I didn't use any of the weapon combinations, I used diamond knuckles with golden blade of magic. Just as Sirblaze333 mentioned shields are "broken" for tanking the shield adds a nice amount of vitality or evasions... but if you can kill a mob faster you don't have to take as much damage overall. While I'm in "tank set-up" I can sustain damage and finish the mob/boss fairly fast.
Gear
-Diamond knuckles
-Golden blade (any kind)
-Frozen chest
-Frozen greaves
-Frozen boots
-Heroic gloves
-Bloodlust or elemental damage helmet
-Heroic amulet of rejuvenation
-Any charm
-75 str aggy bracelet, 5 lite heal
-8+ damage bracelet (crush, slash or pierce, preferably pierce)
-Burial ring of h2h mastery
-lite heal or pugilism rings

Stats
175 str (250 with blade), 150 dex, 10 focus, rest in vit
Skills
Lite heal, rapid shot (equip a bow, then use rapid shot, next equip your golden blade, last equip you knuckles and get 20-25 secs of hasted knuckles. This could also help you gain aggro back if you lose it), I like camo or conceal, entangle or bolas

I hoped this helped a little bit, feel free to correct or ask questions. Also it is highly advised that you have a 90+ support druid to help you tank or level because you probably don't want to waste a lot of pots. When you don't have a lot of druids that can buff you I would use a pie so you get an extra boost of health. As you are low on health that dex should help enough to get somewhat of a heal so you can sort of help heal yourself if you are only with one druid. With this build you can tank bosses efficiently and do quite a bit of damage. I often found myself getting the kill with this build as well. Once again comment because this is a little rough and vague. Good luck everyone.

You'll need to find a better use for rapid shot skill points because they won't work with knucks in new update :(

Ah it's just if there's another clan there and there are no tank there, a ranger can tank so the warrior can get there, or even tank the whole fight if there aren't any tanks on.

When I was in my old clan the best tank was level 100 and he wasn't online that much so I had to fill in.

Yeah I'll edit that because this glitch is cool and I wish it would still work.

I just partially tanked Splee a bit ago. (stole aggro again and held it til it died) Its not that hard to tank even with bad armor and items, but the gear really helps. One way to make up for bad gear is dex, helps avoid the auto attacks but youll still get plastered with spells. Because of that a good amount of health and a good heal are essential.

Nice guide but rangers were not really meet to tank that's either the warriors or archers job back then ranger we're sneaky and stayed hidden in trees and in the bush.
