I skimmed through the posts in ranger forums and didn't see any for this.. Kind of lazy to look any further, so..

Looking for a build. Starting at lvl 1.. What to put points in, etc..

Str and dex and vit. Use all 3 for this specific build. For skills use lh, skewer, spikes and sharpen weps. Ill have to check later at the skills this may be wrong.

I wouldn't recommend it ... I personally tried it and fked up my ENTIRE ranger ._.

Also you can use rapid shot with spear.

Im gonna go out on a limb here and say ive played spear ranger more consistently than any other player, with that said...you will want light heal and entangle for being able to slow hits since youll be in melee range and light heal to stay alive. Double attack is your main damage along with rapid shot. Skewer is a skill you don't need to lvl at all and is an additional melee hit, if timed right it can be very affective. Skills like entangle and double attack only need to be raised 5-10 lvls above what your current lvl is, never max these. Light heal maxed and rapid maxed ad much as possible. hope this helps

Exactly. I have Sharpen Weapons maxed. Light heal maxed. My build at the moment is different that the one i used to level. As im level 191 i dont really trai anymore, but when i leveled i had lh and sharp maxed, entangle at 5-10 levels above my level. I used hastes all the time so didnt need rapid shot. I had double attack again 5-10 levels ahead. If i did do leveling without hastes id just drop sharp some and even out rapid. I also used skewer with no skill points. With my spear ranger ive gotten kill on Hrung. Personally spear ranger is greater dps than bow ranger...unless you have a dragonlord bow then id give edge slightly to bow. Ill attach a pic of my Hrung stats just for comparison if other rangers would like to show theres would be neat.

What spears should I buy?

Right now I use one of the defector ones..

Should I buy ancient pike in shop for 5k?

My friend is also giving me 3 fairy spear once I get to 60. Will these get me to 80?

Should I just use topaz for 80-120 then get adamant, or get opal at 100?

Just some questions if anyone can answer..
