I know i might get some flack for this one, but is a spear, or knuckblades and good for the ranger, or is a bow still the best choice. What advantages and disadvantages does each give

Stop thinking outside the box. Every good ranger uses bow.

Hahaha meep its true but knucks for rogue is much better

knucks for rogue is much better. I know around 3 rogues who out dpsed me on knucks when i was full dex build. For rangers, on the other hand, throw the idea of going to knucks/spear build in the dumpster. As meepol said, every good ranger uses bow.

knucks and spears have been thrown to the wayside because of rangers new skills and the game mechanics. However, between the two, unless you have an aggy spear knucks is the top dog.
