I'm new to ranging and it would be great if someone could recommend some armor/a bow for me I'm a level 33 my dexterity is 42 and strength 93 right now I'm using a War bow and only lamellar armor. I would like to know what the best possible armor/ bow I could get right now is and where I can get it. please be specific as I'm fairly new to the game and I don't know a whole lot of the locations or terms. thanks.

I would perhaps start with the ancient leather (shalemont ravine macroin camp) if you can get the pieces cheaply, otherwise go the ancient lamellar route, you can get it from stonevale after you do the beginning quest line there (village). I would however advise you try to buy it from players. Just get the top and the pants, don't worry about the gloves/boots/helm (unless you plan on getting heroic gloves of haste which I do recommend but are I believe 250k- they are lux and quicken your attack speed nicely) Make sure to join a good clan that can help you get warden and started on meteoric once you get to that level.

Try to get your hands on an ancient longbow, which should last you until you get either a flint bow (from store at level 60) or a quartz bow (from someone else but is better than flint bow- will prolly be more expensive- also at level 60) One of those will last you until you can perhaps get yourself the warden bow.

That takes you up to level 85 or so I believe. Good luck and lemme know if you have any more questions. :)

Lamellar till lvl 40, then save for full tanned highroad (6k about from players), and get an ancient longbow. Then keep the highroad armour till you start getting warding. (Should have ancient composite bow atleast by 60) This IMO is best idea if you do not have platinum or much time to play..

Best armor possible for your lvl is ancient lammellar armor and an ancient warbow in stonevale farm. Keep in mind this is a bit expensive but is worth it imo.

Hero gloves are 150k but the rest is a good guide for rangers

I have a full highroad set, I'll sell it real cheap for you at 2k, what world are you in? Or we can do the trade through mail.

Thanks for the clarification, 150k popped into my head but theres a non heroic haste glove pair in the castle lux shop (also the last lux store I looked at most stuff was 250k... :( ).

No problem, anytime. :) And for clarification on the ancient lamellar top and pants you should be able (if your lucky) to buy them for 10k or less (and no not each, both). I personally don't recommend ancient warbow bc its speed is crap, and ive found a ranger just needs an ancient longbow (2k if bought from someone- normally) to hit the level 60 mark with relative ease.

If you can get your hands on a piece of tanned highroad (preferably free by looting from dustwither bosses) it might be a good idea to use it- ive normally used corbins bracers as gloves til heroic haste gloves (the haste is worth it-every single penny/gold piece).

As a side note ;) :

1) all prices are of course morrigan prices
2) frostknight- I know my stuff, my alts fund themselves and my main worked his way up without plat- time is a different matter, but stuff happens eventually.
3)Alphachicken-i agree with the armor, but as said above not the bow (has highest pierce dmg but dmg isn't the best dps all the time), and, at least in morrigan, can be quite affordable (by shalemont/late shale if you don't spend any gold a player normally has at least 5k+ gold on their acct/char if they know how to level- without plat)
4) Acebow- take a look at previous posts or this one, rawrrrrrrrrrr is on morrigan.

I have a lv 32 rogue right now, and since the armour stats are very much the same for begining armouws up until warden i suggest saving your money from quests and training(also do fettlecap quest as u have a chance of getting good health potions which will help you a lot if u run out of energy) and getting ancient leather top and chest(from store or players, your pick) and then working your way up to ancient lammellar and ancient warbow, then saving for heroic amy of rejuv or heroic gloves of haste
Hope this helps this should set you until about level 65
