Rangers.... A Dying Breed?!

#1
Im from Danu and since update ive noticed that there are No more little nubby Rangers. Which makes me sad because the ranger class is Deeply important. All I've noticed that there is a Warrior Invasion. Half of Transcension are Warriors. Y'all mind telling me Why Us rangers are Going away? I mean ive heard that we don't deserve respect cus we stay back And don't get in a boss face but seriously?! Pls leave Comments on your thoughts :)

I put my ranger in mothballs mainly due to the fact skills are so broken. If/when they fix the skills, I'll bring him back out. Untill then, I've found that a dps druid is much more enjoyable. Slower than the rogue i revived after i semi retired the ranger, but still better than the ranger.
As much as i miss the ranger class (i even tried playing him a few times since), it's just to hard to do anything.

Well having gotten my druid to 177 and ranger to 168, the ranger is much easier to lvl than druid.

I've enjoyed both classes. The one thing I've liked not having to wait in line for dl and boss drops like the billions of rogues and warriors.

The problem with rangers is that they are deeply boring for 1 boxers imo, especially compared to other classes.
For lvling, your mostly buff skills and just autoing mobs to death.
Bossing is a bit more interesting depending on the boss, you do buffs, heal, and might actually need to use (gasp) bolas.

Now compare that to a rogue or even a warrior.

Rogue lvling: fast and actually decent skills, faster autos, fast kills, not huge reliance on autoing, mostly skill spamming.

Bossing: rogue spams skills, moves to kill adds. Rangers auto, and switch targets if an add pops.

Many people on my server have switched from even 190+ rangers to lvling a rogue from 1-190 and making it their main and leaving ranger to collect dust.

Yes, I seem to be back again.

^ Good points.

After getting a druid to 180, I find the straight auto refreshing. It's also nice when dual logging for bosses because with druid, I'm always having to tap something and pay attention everything. With my ranger, I can sit him next to the druids and just auto away and defend the druids if they get attacked.

With the ranger you have to be strategic on what gear you use to get the most damage from the class.

I have a 152 rogue and it's a cool class but still relies on skills damage over auto which is what I like about the ranger.

Also if you're in a clan that is able to farm dl drop bosses, rangers will get equipped pretty quick because typically the class is few in numbers compared to rogues, warriors, and mages.

The one thing I will give the rogue over the ranger is the ability to effectively and quickly solo lvl up into the high levels better than a ranger. Of course, my ranger us 168 and my rogue 152, so I'll see how I feel when I eventually get the ranger to 180 and start releveling the rogue.
