Heard it got fixed in the new update, can someone fill me in more?

It's supposed to be instacast but still have the animation.
OTM say that this does not interrupt auto but before fixing the skill I know for a fact that if u cast sharp shot u get one real quick auto after the skill is casted so I'm not so sure if it interrupts auto or not.

sharp shot probably works like quick strike now. both have an animation. every skill has some sort of animation so why do you single out sharpshot.

Sharp shot is working exactly the same as it was before except it was buffed slightly in damage. It is NOT free extra damage like quick strike is.

Rangers' auto registers damage after the arrow lands on the mob which takes a few seconds from being idle. If i cast sharpshot halfway through the animation, it will interrupt it and then i will get a quick hit after the animation is over when what i should be seeing is the target's hp bar take the damage of an auto (which happens during the sharp shot animation) then the sharp shot hit. Im not seeing that so it hasnt changed.

P.s. Did a quick check so i could be wrong but it looks like its working the same as before

Yup. Just the cast time is almost instant and very small dmg buff. Nothing else changed. I hoped it will become free dmg skill like quick strike.... Well... That's life I guess.

And sharp shot obviously is not free Dmg skill.

I checked it too with my noob ranger, doesnt feel like quick strike at all. Im still torn on Pummel, but lately Ive been getting more kills and my gear hasnt changed drastically (although 150-200 dmg increase).

Does Sharp Shot still hit for less than an auto for strength builds?
