Make Bolas DOT

I've never heard of anyone using Barbed shot. I know alot of Rangers using Bolas for Leveling and DL. WIthout a tank present its nice advantage for our ranged dps. Even with a tank and no druid. The boss can be bolas'd, the tank can walk away from H2H and then sigil for health regen.

Only reason why i made those points about bolas is because everyone has a different play style and every server, android and ios, has a different playing strategy. If your server successfully kills raid bosses then whatever your doing, your doing it fine.

Bolas has always been a must for me while trying to get my DL set and kept it ever since. End game ranger is boring because i rely heavily on autos. While autos are great with divine damage on chaos mobs, leveling is tough.

Bolas realistically would break legs, arms, neck, ribs, ankle. and cause trauma and bleeding. Bolas should be a skill that is a STR based DOT. This would give us a slight edge and would make a lot of rangers very happy. The time should still be 30 seconds, the cast time is slow compared to most damage based skills, which is fine, can be interrupted thats fine too. cool down is good because you can keep a boss bolas'd full time with good ability.

I think this is a must.

Light heal needs a faster cast time again- it shouldn't be a question of whether or not I am gonna be able to heal myself while being attacked by 1 tiny stupid mob or even 4 mobs.

Rapid Shot needs its cd reduced so that it can be useful AT LEVEL 1! Otherwise you HAVE to be endgame (or manage some serious Rapid rings) in order to use this skill effectively.

Long Shot- this is a joke. The ONLY reason most rangers bother with this skill is that its the best dmg skill we have- but we can generally only cast it once because of the STUPID distance requirement. Long shot just means it has more range, not that you HAVE to have space for a LOOOOONG shot. If you have to, kill the silly pinning effect- it doesn't matter much anyways, but get rid of the distance requirement.

Sharpshot needs a dmg boost, at mid to high levels it just sucks. And this skill needs to be INSTA, with the plus of NOT INTERRUPTING someone's autos.

Barbed Shot needs a MAJOR dmg boost- especially the per tick dmg, which is garbage even on a dex build, and it would be a good idea to make this skill based off of POISON dmg.

Defensive Spikes needs a MAJOR dmg boost, I don't care if it 'seems' like it would be equal to cloak of fire unlured, this skill needs fixed.

Bolas should do some slight dmg per tick in addition to the slowing movement effect- if someone gets hit with bolas in real life it doesn't just tangle their legs, it breaks them or shatters ribs, skulls, arms- you get the idea.

Entangle is fine, no complaints with this skill. Camo is fine. Double shot is fine provided it is only used by those bossing.

Explosive Arrow is garbage in its current condition. Its not even worth getting to farm, because even sharp shot (in all its terribleness) is a better skill while maxed. THis skill needs a major dmg boost.


Alright there's all the crap skills we have currently. Now I will suggest 1 new skill I believe would be a benefit.

Piercing Shot

Ability- Ranged Combat
Stat- Str (because the stronger you are the more piercing it will be irl, makes sense)

You fire one powerful shot using all your strength, shattering your opponent's armor by X amount and dealing a massive amount of damage. This debuff will last for 30 seconds. This effect will not stack with other piercing shots.

Cd- 10 seconds (5 ticks) [this is if one misses, as we all know enemy evasions are high, and this skill is designed for mid-high level rangers.
Cast time- 2 seconds (?- should not be instacast, but still shouldn't take longer than barbed shot to cast)

I would suggest that boggans 130-150 would drop this skill. And perhaps firlbogs 150-160 as well.

Id prefer pin on longshot to stay over the distance, ofc id prefer no distance but the pin is real good if you miss bolas and your the only ranger at a boss. Asking for bolas to be DOT really doesn't concern me for the fact if it did happen we all know we would be disappointed at the rediculously low dmg it would be anyway! Its a good idea but it wont happen the way we would want it too.

Another note is rogues dont want to play the part in the puzzle i.e. using expose weakness etc because it slows down their dps, i'm at the point now i wont even attempt to cast bolas on a 6* if there is no expose, so maybe otm could recognise that even though we see their idea of teamwork, it wont work because most rogues are selfish to get the kill and their ways affect the rest of the classes. Instead of a DOT make it unmissable or a hella lot sucessfull. My ranged combat is at 2400+ and it misses a lot on a 185+ 6*
