What's better for hrung mordy necro proteus and gelebron

Bow and quiver for all, except possibly hrung. Rangers rely on high attack and high auto dmg. Much of your auto dmg is coming from the divine on quiver and the procs from bow. Using the halberd is a significant handicap due to the high pierce resists all those bosses have. Also, you put yourself in aoe range which causes more deaths, further decreasing dps (a good example of this is proteus)

A ranger's advantage is his range, try using it.

Spear ranger is awful

Don't even think about it. Why would you even think of going spear when you can make a rogue and be 3 times the spear weilder a ranger can be, while also using skills.

Also btw, I think that other than gelebron drops (void, dont know if shadow and dark too), EDL bow is the strongest weapon in game.

Only void really, I've seen the stats on dark and shadow and I probably wouldn't trade in divine strike for them

Most servers put spears in the hands of rogues, low drop rate of void anything, let alone void spear. Chances are high most servers would want a void spear going to a rogue, unless it was vitality spear, then probably and most likely their primary tank.

If a ranger didn't have Dl weapons yet, and the boss was mordy or hrung, a void mordy spear and a lvl 200 poison dagger offhand would be better dps than a lvl 200 bow and lvl 200 quiver. Relying on auto damage.

WIth Mordy spear and 200 offhand you get 230 pierce. with lvl 200 lux bow and str quiver you would get 210. also 120 poison from offhand which works well against hrung and mordy. 120 dex which increases attack and sharpen weapons buff. Have bow on hotbar to cast steady aim, and then back to spear and dagger.

Spear adds elemental damage which would work nice if the given lures were active on the boss as well. also adding either dex or strength would be a big benefit for attack or added damage. and of course the 500 spear ability would increase both attack and damage.

I would say autos with void spear and 200 poison dagger would be somewhere between 200 luxury weapons and DL weapons. but probably closer to 200 lux weapons. If you add a EDL bow to the equation it seperates itself further from spear.

I personally have not tried a spear and axe/dagger offhand combo at endgame however from previous posts here some have said its good, but again that's their opinion. When I think about it tho, why would u sacrifice the two skills coming from your weapons and the range of the bow. When you think about it most of your auto damage on ranger is from divine dmg on offhand and 2-3k procs from bow(correct me if I'm wrong). I haven't tried spear build just don't see why anyone would sacrifice dl/edl wrath.
