Quivers

Greetings!

So I just made it to level 50 on my Ranger--very enjoyable class so far.

My questions are this:

1) Is it worth it to purchase one of the quivers from the Luxury Traders for the Ranger?

2) Will there be a quest reward down the line that makes the purchase obsolete?

3) Are the better quivers that are sold still viable in the end/late game?

4) Best place to find an upgraded weapon? (currently receiving bounties in Fingal's Cave)

Thanks in advance, any advice is appreciated!!

Yes, get a luxury quiver when you can. You will not recieve a quest reward that is a quiver, so the purchase is worth it. You can get a better lux quiver at lvls 100, 150, and 200. Not sure what weapon you're using, but you can wait until level 80 and get a good bow from te warden quest line in Stonevale.

I am definately happy I purchased a Quiver but if anyone else new reads this, there is a bow and quiver that drop from different rare spawns in Shalemont Ravine.

I have not seen either of these drops, but I did not pursue them either as I have moved on--just an FYI update as I am learning as I go.

Would anyone know what those stats would be on that bow at 80??

How would it compare to the Flint Bow?

Don't bother with flint bow, 80 warden now is much better, and leads into meteoric bow at lvl 105.

It's better but not significantly. The flint will suffice up to levels 80-90 then you will want to upgrade.

@OP, if you are in a clan that will provide you with the discs for the warden bow then hold off on the flint bow (use the ancient until then) otherwise go ahead and purchase the flint one from the shop, it's unlikely you will find someone selling one but if you can then great.

To answer your question, yes there are quivers as rewards from quests, but these only become available at higher levels (180 for dragonlord), they are designed primarily for bosses so don't worry about it for now. The quivers you should be using up till then are shop bought. The level 50 otherworld luxury shop has 3 different tiers of quivers, you want the highest tier only for resale value; try to find one from other players for roughly 75% off of the shop price, avoid buying from shops whenever possible. You could save up for the level 100 instead, that's up to you i have no idea of your financial situation, good luck, we're all counting on you.
