Need ideas on elemental damage.

Hello fellow rangers! Need your ideas. How does elemental dmg resistance on mobs and bosses work? Do they have a certain "x" amount of fire,cold,magic and poison resistances. If that's the case, would it be smart to have just one type of elemental damage from all gears? And since edl set gives heat damage, is it better if we try to stick with heat damage? I might not have been able to explain it in details but i know you guys know where im heading with this. All ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance.

If you're going to pass up on a 100 cold damage ring, or DG armour because it's not 'heat', then sure.

You take what you can.

If you stacked up on fire damage gear and you are taking on a boss weak to ice damage or there is a mage there with an ice lure then you are missing out. Doch gul, the armour upgrade after edl adds cold damage btw.

Like armo said. Take whatever you can get

Yep, I generally focus on getting most dmg then if I have a choice divine then poison :)
