OK STR increases your damage as a percentage of your weapon. So if you have enough STR to double your weapon damage a 20 damage langsax will only do 20 extra damage with STR. So I'm thinking lots of STR only makes sense with a huge weapon. But huge weapons are slow so why not get 10 hits in with the +205 offhand and fist rather than 5 hits with the 300 offhand and Spear and all the extra STR that could be used to increase DEX and avoid half the attacks. And the dex adds to Poison. I am doing just as much damage as before auto because of the extra hits. A little less because I dont have any points in Sneaky or Quick. But its as if I doubled my HP because I dodge half the hits. Still get hit by skills but thats what HP are for. Going against a mob with no skills I will commonly have no HP loss at all that my amulet cant make up.

Have you figured out the strength percentage yet? In your opinion would this be worth a try for a 132 with a poison frozen dagger? Not that I would go 5 strength, but just wondering what your answer would be :)
OK your damage has 3 factors
STR piece + ability piece + base weapon damage

short answer your damage is a function of the square root of your strength so if you want to double the STR piece of your damage you need to increase your STR by a factor of 4.

This will only double the STR piece not the entire damage.
