Celtic Heroes

Ok so I've been thinking about how most classes have a skill that does damage over time. Rend does between 5-15 for me and 10-20 fully upgraded. Mages with there Flame skill that they cast on themselves or others in combination with Lure of Fire can hit between 20-50. I'm not 100% sure on how well a Rangers barbed shot does, from what I recall it's quite low but is it possible to maybe speed up the damage done instead of every other attack to every attack? It may even it out I'm not sure it may it may not. Does anyone else find this to be a problem?
