Hey guys,
I've heard that rogue is the fastest in solo levelling out of all the classes which I'm very drawn towards. However, I'm unsure of two things. One, rogue seems to be the most popular class, making its items very expensive. Is this enough of a barrier to shift me to other classes or is it still possible to be F2P and still gear up as rogue? Two, there are always two builds, the dex build and str build but I'm not sure which one is better for levelling. Str seems like it would be faster with all the damage skills but dex seems to have better survivability with guides suggesting swift reflexes and lifesteal. Anyone have any ideas on which would be easier for me?
Re: Beginner Rogue Levelling! Help needed!
#2depends on if you use elixirs and regen lux. If not, dex build. if you do, go 2 dex and 3 str. damage=faster kills=less damage to your toon

#3I'd suggest starting off as a mage, they are easy to gear. Rogues are the most expensive classes, and it's hard to keep going as one without getting plat unless you're in a good clan or a feeder clan. In competitive servers, you'll have the strongest clans competing for bosses like Grommak and Pyrus to gear up their lockers at times, making it near impossible for lower level rogue mains to even get frozen.Hey guys,

As a mage, you'll be able to max out your lures and cloak of fire/energy at 220. Being able to dual device with this toon will make your solo leveling smooth and efficient. As a high level mage you'll be able to join a powerful clan, they will most likely be able to gear your alts as you level. If you're motivated by gear, this will be your best bet.
If you're motivated by competition and difficulty, then i'd suggest starting off as a rogue and see where you can take yourself.
- Start off with warden armor, move up to obsidian, then beastbone, then finally occult.
- Farm ss at 85+.
- Let 25-50% of your gold go to buying lixes to level, the other 50-75% you can spend on jewelery.
- Farm the items you need for armor (Vials, runes, bone shards).
- At 190 join a powerful clan, they will most likely accept you, most clans are more than happy to have extra lockers on standby.
If you get into a good lower level clan that does frozen, astral and warden bosses, help them as much as you can. If your clan has it's fair share of loyal members, you have the opportunity to advance to kill higher level bosses and become more powerful. At frozen bosses, lock level will save your group if a few of you are around the boss' level.

Re: Beginner Rogue Levelling! Help needed!
#4For my rogue I go high strength and some dex while lvling as many of the best lvling moves use Strength (e.g. Riptose) and then some dex for defence and chance of auto hitting. Then for bossing I go high dex to very little strength as Shadow Strike is the best boss locking move that uses ur dexterity. For rogues it is hard to get geared fast as the remnants and tablets for meteoric are needed by many people and at least on my server 2 drops that seem impossible to get for alot of players are purple crest of bear and stag. Imo Rogue is a very fun class to overall lvl and boss at but imo rogues are the hardest to set builds for. If this is your very first account and you don't have much knowledge of the game I would suggest going the path of mage as it's only between fire or ice mage (there's also lure mage but that's not as fun to lvl on
) it's more simple for a beginner as u only put points in focus and vitality and other than firestorm u won't have a hard time getting skills... Also easier to get geared compared to Rogue.
