Celtic Heroes

I need help deciding on which class is best for the new update. I've had experience with mages, but I'd like to have an secondary class with good dps, and will not die as fast as an mage does. Any thoughts or suggestions? I'd appreciate the help

Since at the moment rouges suck, I'd suggest a ranger.
