well, kiy is a great rogue, best one in Belenus (at least imo)
ive seen kiy getting many kills over other ppl with that essence blade, im pretty sure that having her crap tons of pots, she could even have more dps if she would wear her axe offhand

i would love to have kiy's build on my rogue, but sadly i wouldnt get much close results at his lvl, also while the midnight talis is a great rejuv for my rogue's lvl, + a brace, he would have enough for spamming all his dps skills and use triumph axe

and saying a primal/elder/essence blade isnt a rogue offhand, thats noobs' bs, every offhand suit every class according to build, if i remember correctly theres a warrior using bounty dagger, can i tell him its not a warrior offhand? (not sure but i think ezeikill, which is a great warrior imo)
and ive seen more rogues using elder/essence/primal blade, all are doing good

Or if you prefer the regen, get a trident/poison dagger. Both of those are good options for non-serious soloing.

The golden bodkin reguv's the same, the only diff is the stats it adds, 3 pierce (or 4) and 20 poison, id say golden bodkin if you can get it for really cheap, otherwise venom dagger, hope this helped!

That's an interesting notion but i see where you're coming from. Last update i wore an energy crown to keep energy up and it worked nicely.

So every offhand suits every class now? Well, why don't I buy a masters grimoire and see how that works out... On Sulis, Ive seen one or two rogues using primal/essence blades, and one of them doesn't play anymore. The rest use axes, dagger of slaying/bounty or the dl rondel.

well, i guess its a bit wrong, due the idol or focus offhands for melees, yet yes few rogues did use energy crown pre update (such as Kiy and another one, cant remember who, maybe Dragontamer or PigtailRogue)
on belenus, i can show u many rogues with elder/essence blade, such as kiy, buckstarr, homelessguy, R0gue, Canis, and im pretty sure there are more (also ive seen rogues with primal blade at lower lvls, but i dont really know them)

i myself, will use an axe for my rogue, since i dont mind potting for energy and having the axe, kiy now has dl rondel tho, but ive always seen her using the essence blade and it worked well
like i said, u cant say primal/elder/essence blade is useless, some prefer having the rejuv, while getting stat boost, my favorite offhand is an axe, but ofc i would love to have some rejuv over potting for energy

i dont wanna talk for kiy even tho i will... Anyway, what u mentioned is on Sulis, here not many rogues use Bounty Dagger, doesnt mean i'll say its not a rogue offhand (well mostly since it has the dagger look...)

actually it does work lol. a friend didnt have druid lux since his main was a ranger guess what he did. he got a short bow and equipped his golden quiver for the rejuv and i also did a grimoire from lvls 80-90 since i had lots of dmg but no energy regen so i would spam skills(This was on a warrior btw)

I have read the comments concerning my statement that the "primal/essence blade is not a weapon for a rogue," and have reflected upon the way that I worded the statement. I take back my earlier statement of it not being a "rogue's weapon" but I still think that it is a weak weapon compared to the other offhand available to rogues.

Here are my reasons:

Primal blade stats:
cold damage 100
health regeneration (25)
energy regeneration (20)
focus (40+)
vitality (40+)

Pros:

Regens health and energy (in combat)
stat bonuses (vit and focus)

Cons:

Low damage which is unaffected by strength, i.e, it will not increase with strength
I feel that it adds stats more appropriate for a warrior. This is not to say that a focus and vitality boost aren't good for a rogue, but I personally favour a weapon that adds strength and/or dexterity for my rogue.

I would also like to point out that the lvl 100 lux shop has "better," this is opinionative, offhands.
The dagger of slaying is there if you need regen, and it adds 60 unresisted poison damage, and 25 piercing damage, which multiplies with strength. On my rogue, it would give around 250/300 damage, give or take a little. I think this is much better, as it adds more damage, and still provides regen. It also adds 200 attack.

The axes are excellent. They add 250 elemental damage, unaffected by strength, but 150 higher than that of the primal blade. They also add 120 strength, which also adds damage to your skills and auto, as well as adding 200 attack and 200 resist to the element which it is "attuned" to i.e. fire, ice or magic.

To rephrase what I said earlier, I would say that the primal blade is not an offhand that I would consider, as there are, in my opinion better ones, but which may suit some peoples builds and/or preferences.
