This happens on bosses and minibosses which is understandable, but i'm not quite sure why it has happened on that wolf.

I don't believe it is understandable anywhere, if you're stealing away 700 hit points and only get 500 where does the other 200 go to?

Life Steal didnt mention that the mob cant steal it back , theres the missing hp

I got a pic of a friends lifesteal while he was helping me with a wyrme. Quite a big difference. The hit was 1388 but he got back 1107.

I can't see the bad teeth because the bosses are so tall but I can certainly smell the bad breath. Again, the odour is tranmitted through the air.

Seriously, I think the reason is that mobs have certain resistance to lifesteal. So, they retain part of the damage inflicted or hp stolen. This is also why you never get the damage shown on your stats or skills attack but always lower.

Not for me... it hits half, like most other skills for me

when i used it on my noob rogue, it rarely hit half, which is normal to hit even 50% of the dmg as poison dmg, but unlike sneaky that usually wont hit 2.9k out of 3k with no shatter or lure, life steal can hit almost max hit (for me it hit once 366 out of 369)
